A FEW VIEWS OF THE BEAUTIFUL LOCATIONS OF SOME TYPICAL VILLAGES IN THE FAROE ISLES.
He’s nigel gresley so…. He’s reborn a4
Very quaint and nice :)
To me quicksilver sounds the best
Is no one gonna talk about the steam leaking from the boiler when the whistle blows??
2:02
Wundervoll
The quicksilver whistle sounded like a Japanese C11 locomotive…and I LOVE IT!!!
Excellent video of a super miniature railway!
Beautiful ❤
4:50 Nos. 29 and 2392 - from the inaugural NYMR train in 1973. “51A-Darlington” channel has film of them working at Lambton colliery circa 1970.
90% sure I could here piglet in this video at some point wouldn't surprise me as its taken on the NYMR
one interesting thing to note, QUICKSILVER's whistle is about the same pitch and a similar tone to the prewar A4 whistles. It would be nice if high fidelity recordings of this little whistle swap event existed, which could be really helpful for making sound files for DCC decoders.
2:32 that A4 should keep that whistle
should have kept the sparrowhawk whistle, so much power behind 2:02
So basically.. every A4's whistle was different?
Pretty much, I like that.
What bridge
So peaceful to watch on a Sunday morning 😍
It really is!
Nice to meet you too ..
Hello Bernard, nice meeting you today, keep up the good work...
Thanks for coming
Very relaxing watching this video ❤️
1:50 sounds like that one whistle stock sound effect from cartoons

👍
This is the closest weve ever got to accuratley representing an A4 during WW2 in preservation, just needed diferent lettering and a higher pitched bell whistle
Thanks for sharing 😍

Is the soundtrack the music from the app that accompanied the lightshow? I could never find the link for it!
No it was from a car parked at the side of me !
@@bernardgdixon2193 Ah, I know there was an app that played music in time with the lightshow, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I added something else to my effort here - ruclips.net/video/5tzB_ZJ_ins/видео.html 🙂
Southern whistle is cute on an a4 makes it seem more playful rather than with the chime whistle it sounds more fierce
😅
Is there any way to seal the leak in the piping leading to the whistle? It must be a pain for the crew to see through that at speed.
I don't believe it's a leak from wear and tear or from any damages, I think the steam coming off the pipes on the sides were intentionally designed in such a manner. Can check out other footages of the A4s, all seemed to have steam coming out the side pipes when the white is sounded
Yes that’s ok x
May I share this video to FB
Wow- what an amazing collection of stunning and beautiful photos 😍 love the accompanying music too ❤
Stunning and beautiful 😍
Thanks Marilyn , it was amazing to see the sky twice in the same week . Had fun editing the photos . Best wishes and happy new year to you 🤗
very nice sharing friend...wonderful footages....cool captures...big like
I never seen let alone a A4 fitted with a different whistle that wasn’t a chime till now in 2:32
Some interesting possibilities for ring-tones, here!! 📱🚂
I was thinking the same thing
Good idea
dafuq
A4 with southern whistle 😂
i wasn’t expecting that either 🤣 but i do want to see if A4 Kingfisher’s chime whistle survives into the preservation like other A4 whistles too
@@SouRwy4501Productions 😬
@@TheBoysTopSecretisOrganizationwha?
I seriously wasn’t expecting that🤣🤣🤣
Are you talking about the US Southern or the Uk one
these are great, are they the original pre-war whistles?
Sounds like it. The pre-war chime whistles sounded slightly deeper than the post-war chimes. This is most likely a pre-war chime. The pre-war chimes were said to have a tone very similar to that of an air raid siren, so these are likely the prewar whistles
@@SouRwy4501Productionsprobably not all , Quicksilver’s & Woodcock’s yes because Woodcock is DoC , because Doc used to be woodcock when it was first built & before it got its 5 chime & Sparrow Hawks is like during the war tone
🇮🇳💐🍁🥰🥰👌🙏🥰🌹♥️🥰🥰💐🇮🇳
Thought I was watching @mouldy raspberry 😂😂
I was at the NYMR today, they were running 3 steam + 1 diesel, and visitor/passenger numbers were still as high as peak summer.
It’s easily the best annual event in the NE. Worth noting how non-smoky our locos are, compared to American steamers. Just saw an American steam parade on “Jaw Tooth” channel, which is like 5 mobile volcanoes. 💨
Stunning pics and beautiful music 🎶😍❤️
very nice sharing...wonderful footage....big like & greetings
i really like Sparrowhawk whistle
Me too

Great filming
Brilliant mate 👍
Great video!
Love your photos
That was awesome hearing these whistles. By the way did you get Dominion Of New Zealand's whistle because that particular A4 was fitted with an Ex-NZR whistle. 🤩
That’s interesting J , I will see what I can find re the whistle .
And dominion of Canada is fitted with a Canadian 5 chime.
@@TheSudrianTerrier653i wonder how that would sound on an A4
GVR sent over a NZR K whistle for that A4 that was done up as Dominion of New Zealand but the group never used it and sent it back to us
