Can I ask the benefit of the art fair to the artists who display their work. Is it to attract an agent? To sell their work? Or any other benefit.

Hi Susan. Thanks for your message. Exhibitors have different reasons for taking part. It is very diverse and depends on numerous factors. The majority take part to sell their work and our handbook and videos include sections on how to market and sell face-to-face. We train you but it is a learning process (and you pick up a lot of tips from regular exhibitors too). If you are looking for an agent or gallerist, becoming good at selling your work is usually very attractive to them. It shows you have a business sense and understand how the industry works. They will find it easier to work with you. So, a few have found agents (like Tony) and gallerists in the process of selling their work at the fair. Having said that, it is also about the contacts you make. Some artists just want to display work that is not for sale (but these are very few). Hope this answers your question.
