The vague terms of `good range` and `low pricing` is what we hear for so many years, from legacy auto brands. And `next year` is also something we hear, Tesla is strong with that one. We hear about this affordable sub $25k Tesla since 2019. The only brand that really delivered (in the EU) on both is Stellantis with the Citroèn e-C3. B segment EV, Sub $25k, 320km range and also with LFP battery.

BYD cars are phenomenal, hell even the MG electric cars are great. But unfortunately in Australia we do not benefit from the cheaper cost of them because of our own tariffs on imports :(

Now that GM is finally starting to overcome the hurdles of building on the _Ultium_ platform, we could see some much smaller EV's coming that will eventually replace the Buick Encore and Envista smaller crossover models by 2027. The upcoming second-generation Chevrolet Bolt shows what the smaller _Ultium_ platform is capable of, and that will be the basis of the next Encore and Envista models.
