A fine voice with well developed technique.

Pleasing voice and committed interpretation in the Haydn. Mr Pilkington does not deserve the insult below. He is accomplished though of course the instrument does not have the full nuance of a "normal" piano - Haydn's own piano would also have had its limitations.. The non-Haydn arrangement is fairly unpleasant.

the recorded version is different in voice quality. no match. maybe this is not the original version. or i have a digitally improved version :P dont listen to the original one before listening to this. you wont like this.

Ok, it's a little schmaltzy, but I actually like the color of her voice. Baroque music is not for light voices only. People living in 1600 had the same vocal equipment they have now...if you had a rich voice, you had a rich voice. No one has a recording from 1600. Stylistically, it may be a tad schmaltzy, but it's a suitable voice for this rep. I am a baroque singer and happen to have a light voice, but there are many colors in the rainbow. Not every baroque voice has to sound like Emma Kirkby.

love it. loads of reasons: my grandad taught me the song when i was little (along with caon lan); I have always really liked Elin's voice since I heard it in school and it's a great bit of theatre. didn't see this show either, seen the dresses though....

I never did get to see this though the galloping cats did and enjoyed it!
