Not to mention Xiaoyu's high school classmate, Miharu, is playable in this game. After completing Story Battle with Xiaoyu, pressing Circle when selecting Xiaoyu chooses Miharu. Basically, they have the same fighting styles, but Miharu has a little more offense than her classmate, Xiaoyu. Too bad Miharu can't be used for mirror matches. In Tekken 4 matches, I usually select Miharu over Xiaoyu for the added offense alone.

I love TEKKEN 4 music, outfits, aesthetic and story. But gameplay...

So weird thing about Xiaoyu in Tekken 4, is that her hitboxes are kinda jank. That is, unless you pick her palette swap, Miharu. Miharu's hitboxes are more consistent for no apparent reason, technically making her more viable than Xiaoyu. Keep in mind, Miharu is just supposed to be a pallete swap XD

Speaking of 3D fighting game, you gotta try the Dead or Alive or Soul Calibur series sometime dude

The POW system of this game kinda reminds me of Pandora from Street Fighter x Tekken. It's basically an all-or-nothing gamble. Although, I don't think it fits a game like SamSho which is less geared towards ultra aggression.

I freaking love this game. I use to play this back in 2001 at my cousin's he had the PS2 got mine a year later. We played this, Metal Gear Solid 2, Twisted Metal Black, Silent Hill 2 that year. ☺ Love the soundtrack (Some tekken purists hate this game's soundtrack. Never understood. Lei's and Yoshimitsu's themes are my favorites.) I played the hell out of this in the Arcades at Peter Piper Pizza and Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection back in the day. Game is horribly unbalanced but so is MVC2 and that game rocks. Love this game. Funnest Tekken for me. Also game still looks amazing almost 25 years later. Damn, this game is old and so am I. I was 4 years old when I played it. 😂

Ironically I drink coffee and Alcohol to make me game better. Coffee helps me better of the 2 while gaming. 😂 Speaking from experience.

This is best samsho imo. After this one the franchise just went from bad to worse, I mean 5 was so bad that they had to turn it into 4 was again for 5 special. 6 is kinda "everyone is here" but not super fun. Even the newest samsho for PS4 was a little disappointing to me because they slowed down too much. I'm a totally bias for this game, the mechanics are super fun and polished, graphics are gorgeous and the music is great too.

basara is pretty trash in 4, he takes a lot more damage plus there's quite a few basara only infinites plus he has wack combos his neutral is not very strong because of things like air projectile not knocking down, basically what you wanna do is spam punches because they cannot be deflected get any sort of knockdown ie dashing kick and use puffball and mount offence behind puff ball, makes basara a bit better

Are you going to play both Samurai 5 and 5 special or just one of them? You can skip samsho 5 perfect.

Good for you having fun with Samsho 4,in Samsho 5 and 5 special REMEMBER you will have in D button evade roll if you do diagonally ↙️ or ↘️, hop jump it's against low attacks and if you not fully have rage gauge but taken damage for that then you can fill out to zero for concentration and it will be service you as the Issen if you go the round 3

For the real ending, you need to reach Amakusa's Castle in under 8 minutes. If you manage to do that, you'll face off against Boss Amakusa, then Zankuro, and finally your rival character to see your character's real ending.

Four was fun

This was my first samsho ever as a kid. And I really enjoyed the intensity of it. After I grew up and played them all, I can say that gameplay-wise, IV is where the series finally starts hitting good. And the cpu is finally tolerable. You’ll have a lot of fun after this one. Even with SamSho6, which is the other black sheep haha.

I wonder when I'll see Kaiser Knuckle against the General, lol. I only played Samsho 1 but that's on back on the SNK collection on the Wii

Zankuro is such a cool badass villain. He's sort of like a swordsman Akuma, but with no supernatural stuff to him, not until SSIV, where he's resurrected. He's just a giant nutter who got addicted to the bloodlust of being a warrior, and went on a rampage.

Your coming close to the samurai shodow that has finishers. Samurai shodow V the finishers are cool. They looks like a fusion between a domain expansion(visually) and finishers from mortal combat. The next samurai shodown has finishers and low down time ability.

There was a T5 top player nicknamed Borami. Knee once told that Borami had influenced on him a lot. Real top player, he played Xiaoyu like Knee plays Bryan. Search for him bro if you want to get good at Xiaoyu.

Samurai Shodown 3 was the first of the franchise to use the Slash/Bust fighting style (aka Shura/Rasetsu in japanese), pretty much giving different moveset and even look for the character (example : Galford will not have Poppy or Nakoruru will have Shikururu her pet wolf instead of Mamahaha). It'll be more noticable in the 3D Samurai Shodown for the NeoGeo64. This system will be removed in Samurai Shodown 5 and onwards.
