Unreal, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! Although what he previously suggested was pretty good, it was a real pain to follow... I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much simpler and potent now!
Are hospitals still offering Viewray Mridian treatment after the company went bankrupt and is no longer servicing their products?
"Articulate and impeccably delivered information/education, characterized by clarity and excellence."
How to stop or control venous leaking
Sometimes I would like to hear about the failed treatments and if they understand why.
Tulsa can fail up to 40-60% within 2-3 years either due to 1. Method failure, ie not all tumors cells are killed 2. Prostate Cancer is a multifocal disease, 3. Disease outside the gland may be missed even with MRI and PET scan. There are no controlled studies showing it is any better than active surveillance or that it has fewer side effects than RT or RP which is potentially curable.
psa test is flawed and should be banned
this video just shows me these drs dont know shit all funding for cancer should be stopped for all the money that is being spent we arent getting our moneys worth these people never cure ANYTHING its always we can treat this they are a total embaressment
i might think that mp-mri/psma pet data input is worth 100X to this AI model
main data input seems to rest on an mri-fusion biopsy. to form a 3D map in the prostate. how many needle samples are needed?
Clinical trials sounds kinda risky...
when I see that many options makes me think you doctors dont know what your doing how about you find cures and not treatments
But ADT often used with prostate RT may change voice.
Be informed that Glasgow University is adding mebendazole to docetaxel for PC.
facinating work
Dr. Afshar imo gave an excellent presentation. Pro/Con's. Various modalities etc. Thank you for taking the time for this vital information.
Glad it was helpful!
Such a brave man for sharing his story to help others!
This is helpful information. I think the video should be shown to men pre-surgery. I’m 7 months post-surgery and still trying to figure out how to manage urge incontinence. The video is helpful and validating.
TY
I am not getting a prostatectomy. If needed. I think I would rather b dead.
Good luck, your choice but I did get it and now am cancer free
I felt the same way, but 22 years later, I’ve learned to cope with it. Watching the above video was helpful and I learn some new tools on how to stay dry. My doctor did not inform me about urine leakage after the prostatectomy. After he took out the catheter, I was sitting in my car after the appointment and wet all over myself. What a helpless feeling it takes a lot of adjusting, and if there’s a support group around, I would go attend a meeting before the surgery, so you can talk to guys who have had the surgery already. Best of luck.
Thank you John, very helpfu and informative
Very, very informative!
thanks to my darn seizures i will always wear a diaper i dont care what anyone says. they are truly comfy and a godsend anyway and it makes life feel like you are actually alive again. Thanks for this video im only 26 years old with very high seizure activity when i get stressed for no apparent reason at all at random times. I dont even mind it anymore.. however truly I hate intermittent catheters in hospitals.. they hurt me when put inside every time.. diapers for life <3
@Gregg Venuti its alright, im sorry you have to deal with that much though, its not fun when something like that, and all of a sudden takes its course, i myself get scared after every attack and boy are they, the seizures, i cant even tell when they come on sometimes its that downright nuts!
@Gregg Venuti I wish there was an easier way to deal with things, like attacks, seizures or anything else of that caliber, there must be other easier ways besides briefs and catheters, but eh i dont think i can turn back now. What's needed is needed and i wont judge it not even by the looks, you've gone through a helluva lot though, it even sounds like, and i pray you get help too brother!
As my setup, I use pull-on disposable underwear, with an overnight pad inside. This allows me to replace the pad as needed, and the disposable underwear handle the rare overflow. The disposable underwear lasts all day, and pads last from a couple hours to half a day. For traveling, or periods where I will be out for many hours, I also use PUL (Polyurethane Laminate) underwear with fairly tight elastic around my legs. These are made of a waterproof fabric that feels like cloth, and don't leak. I wear them over the disposable underwear. I've used this setup for years, and find I'm rarely restricted in activities, and very rarely leak to my pants.
Just a further note: for booster pads, I use toddler diapers with the waterproof backing perforated beforehand. They are very cheap and more absorbent than "adult" pads. They also have the advantage that when you change them, you can fold them up and tape them closed for disposal.
Great advice - 16 pads a day!!! How much does that cost? Hope you get some financial hlep with that.
If you are a veteran, make an appointment with urologist at the VA. They really help me with supplies.
God bless you . You are the bravest individual I have encountered ever . No shame . thank you so very much.
This was really... Uh... reassuring.
thank you so much for taking your time . very useful info I appreciated it. Gonna have my prostate removal in May. Toronto Canada here...
