Thanks for this. All three of my acuators are coming up bad on diag and about to tackle it this weekend
They are pretty simple to replace, hope the video help
Just picked this set up
@@nhcbluu pretty nice set ,so far I haven’t had any problems with them
If it’s not on there with gods will power
Another question, mine is the identical one, it makes a squeaking and whining noise when lowering without a load. Is it because it’s new or because it might need grease out of box?
Pretty sure is normal , i just tried mine and makes the same noises, i belive its just the release of pressure and the springs behind the jack, I wouldn’t worry about it unless the jack is not holding pressure or not working as it should.
@@MTG6.2 thank you!
Do you know if the new ones of these come with the pad? I don’t think they do.
I looked it up on their website and it says they do come with it and it shows it on the pictures but am not 100 percent on it,I would probably ask in the store and most the times if your buying something like that they let you open the box to see inside if you ask them.
This for the 3.6?
No, its for the 2.4 ecotec
I used to use a cheap c clamp on the front calipers, rear have to buy a tool.
Yeah that works to or big pair of channel locks, and most of the time for the rear you need a winding kind of tool to screw back in the piston.
yea lost a socket in the damned body the other day - almost certain I got this sucker in the grooves but the new belt is squealing - I expected it to initially just a new belt but when I reved the engine it continued to squeak going to have to recheck that groove thanks for the vid!
Hard to say but I think the belt might be in the grooves other wise the belt would of came off already or it would be pretty chew up by now, you might have a loose pully but hopefully you get it figured out
Same happened to me they try to charge me like 4k. So I went under to look at it and did it myself. It was just the pipe was broken at the bracket
I found put, they are the same footprint as Snap on tools jack. They also got sued for this. I just purchased one in Blue but wanted the Yellow. Yelliw only comes in the Heavy Duty Longer version. I dont know why they dont offer all the tiers of Daytona with same color options
Thanks for the info
Unable to remove the 7/16 socket from the racket. Ugh
Try holding the ratchet on a vice and use a prybar to pry the socket out.
Curious does this model relearn for camshaft position sensor 2011 jeep thanks
@@DaveSchmidt-z6v does not have a function for camshaft position relearn, it does have one for the crankshaft position sensor relearn for the jeep wrangler, patriot ,liberty, but is not free will have to pay like 35 bucks to use this function.
Thanks, very easy to understand.
Thank u Very much
does another brand make this removable version? EZRed version isn’t removable.
That looks 🔥🔥
Hi, Can you tell me what the plug in the bottom is used for mine leaks like crazy makes all kinds of mess Thanks
Is it out side or inside the if i flip it up side down can i see it from the bottom ??
@@MTG6.2 yes it’s at least 1 inch wide.
@@MTG6.2 yes you can see it if you flip it over, it is at least one inch wide and opens and closes on a weak spring and leaks like a siv
Okay I’ll take a look today
Mine does not have any plugs in the bottom, the whole bottom is one piece, the only seals that it has are inside but nothing in the outside,on mine if ends up leaking from any where on the bottom then that would mean the plastic bottle is broken and would need a new one.
Thanks for posting. You saved me time researching the spark plug access procedure. FYI; As long as you have the torque wrench hub straight above (in-line with) the spark plug, you do not have to compensate for the added socket wrench extensions. 15 LB-FT of torque would still be correct.
Mike makes this noise when I start then goes away is this a bad pump?
My guess would be probably not, until it starts doing it all the time like this one on the video i wouldn’t worry about it,
@@MTG6.2shit mines do😂 now ik
I’m having my rpm’s move a lil bit at idle and a hard brake sometimes think my pump is bad I’m sure it is my car kinda sounds like this
@what_up_doe_AL If it is i would replace it asap before it locks up and breaks the camshaft
I did this a few years ago and already went bad again. I did drive 100,000 miles in that time but didnt probably torque it to spec
Thats a pretty good amount of miles, my guess would be the gasket just got old and brittle, gaskets get brittle and loose they elasticity over time after heating up and cooling down alot.
Thanks for the video amigo!!
Dont have great experience with this charger as its basically a color swapped black and decker with a higher jump start (50 instead of 40 amp model). But bench top chargers can be good to keep batteries from dying while working on car electronics with the engine off and reconditioning old batteries. At the shop we use Blue Point and Mac bench tops which are basically Clore automotive chargers andbthe newer snap on bench top with dedicated 30 amp continuous charge. As with all smart chargers, its improtant to know what is the lowest voltage it can detect to begin charging( otherwise they won't work on depleted batteries). Trickle chargers (2amp) can also be good option when storing batteries or vehicles for long periods of time. Some plug in trickle chargers even plug into the OBDII port.
Yeah thats what i been seen that most people have alot of trouble with it, and your right if the voltage is to low i wont charge usually what i do is use the jump start feature like twice then it would start chargthe battery, the one i have i left it out in the rain for like a week i just forgot i left it out side and am pretty surprised that still works just fine just the chrome handles are rusty looking but it still works just fine.
@@MTG6.2 I use a cart with older batteries to parallel charge the severely depleted batteries. Once the smart charger detect voltage is reached I'll put it into reconditioning mode. Once enough voltage is stabilized in the reconditioned battery I'll trickle charge with very low amps for days if needed. If the best option is to reconstruct the battery then its better to just buy another.
Bought the same exact kit (box and 16 bits but difft sticker) from Matco about 5 years ago. I heard "unofficially" its produced by Irwin. Well now that we don't have a Matco dealer that lifetime warranty seemed pointless. However, when my new Mac tools dealer rolled in the shop and saw my abandoned bit kit he asked if I needed any warranty on it. I informed him it had a Matco sticker on the box. He tore it off and brought me a brand new set with. Mac sticker on it. Yeah he definitely won my return business that day. And the kit is great with the two quick disconnect shanks that can turn a regular drill into an improvised quick release clutched driver.
That’s awesome some tool dealers are just the good, some times hard to find, i got a friend that uses this kit thats how i found out about it, from what i heard from him he loves them and uses them avery day for filters and stuff like that, he told me they work great.
What if your car is still skipping after the plugs have been changed
Does it have a check engine light on ??
@@MTG6.2no
Well how has it held up?
Pretty good i still use it and in the winter time it sits outside in the snow and dont have any problems with it.
Mine came with a broken adapter 😔
Hopefully you can get a replacement
Thank you for sharing this video
Did you figure it out Because I’m trying to figure out what the piece does
Oof, tolerances aren’t good eh
Mines makes a clicking sound when charging ...is this normal ??
I think it is normal ,mine clicks when trying to charge and it’s changing the amps and voltage and when it stops charging it usually makes a click
Ty so much bro
Will this work for transmission axle bushings and seals?
I have used it for smaller seals on transmissions, torque converter seals axle seals and it works just fine as long as you have the right adapters i ended up buying more adapters for it so i could remove different type of seals and for me it has worked just fine so far, am not sure on transmission bushings but if you have the right adapter for it , it could probably work.
Dorman also makes/supplies a vented cap - Saturn Vue 2.4 used it until 2008.
Pro tip plus the other one going around wgere u drill a hole above the port for cleaning, and fill it with a screw a nd o ring
I just did the same job on my focus but the suspension is constantly bottomed out. Same brand name shocks, but on a 2005 zxw. I guess i have to return them or something.
Followed this step by step and my 2013 is no longer shaking, stabilitrak light is no longer on and runs beautifully. I changed the coils too. In total plugs and coils only cost me $125. Amazing tutorial. Dealership wanted $700 bucks for this to be done lmao😂.
I was just curious, why did you not replace the wires?
Does not have wires they are actually call ignition coils they usually last the life time of the vehicle they don’t really have a maintenance interval for them, they usually start going bad one by one and you just replace them as you go or if you really wanted you could replace them at the same time is up to the owner, just look it up and 1 coil from gm is about 46 dollars and you need 4 plus the spark plugs and at this time the ones in my equinox are working fine so I decided to leave them hope it helps.
@@MTG6.2 i have to replace my coils. After changing the plugs, doing the seafoam treatment to the cylinders and cleaning the carburetor i still have a tiny shake. hopefully replacement of the coils will fix the problem. Thank you so much!

That's good if the boot hasn't bonded to the ceramic from heat. Usually the reason they're so difficult to remove is because the rubber boot becomes adhered to the ceramic. The kind of plug boot pliers that allows you to twist the boot causes the bond to break free and you should be able to remove by hand ✋️. Its very hard to get in there to twist by hand, thats why those pliers work great. 👍

Big emphasis on the part about not dropping the bolt into the frame. Its basically impossible to get it back out. I found a bolt from menards part number 88287, says its a M10-1.5 Thread, 70 mm OAL, 10.9 Grade. It worked for me so far, big tip is to jam some shop rags down around it if you need to bring the bolt through the access hole but otherwise try and go from next to the engine
i replaced the intake manifold as well since it was only 55$ with sensors and gaskets. but i drove to long with the pcv clogged and the oil was pretty bad because of it now waiting on valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket so we can clean out the sludge this weekend not looking forward to that lol
Alot of work but hopefully that takes care of the issue,i would also recommend changing your oil more often to prevent that from happening again,i change my oil every 4000 miles due to the fact that they have low tension piston rings and having clean oil helps prevent your engine from burning oil and so far I haven’t had any major problems with mine.
@@MTG6.2 yes ofc I'm keeping track of it from now on its my wife's car she went over 10k miles maybe even more I did do a engine flush at the last oil change but I still see sludge in there so that's why we are going to do all this
Just had mine rear seal blowout an had a vented cap can how can you tell if the vent in the cap is stopped up
Did you figure out how to prevent the problem?
Rear main already blown. Want to trade vehicle and just need to know if either bars rear main leak stop or atp-205 leak stop is oksy to put in engine to not drip on dealership parking lot.
I honestly would not recommend any of those products it may or may not help but some times they can just leave a mess inside the engine especially in newer engines where tolerances are really tight, but it is up to you if you want to use them,i personally would not use any stop leak or any of those products to stop a leak, but if your going to trade it in anyways like i said it may or not stop the leak depending on how bad it is but i wouldn’t think it would harm anything right away i would take some time to actually do any harm i would say.
Do GM mechanics know this? My 2017 Equinox is in the shop now for blown rear main, this is the second time in 13 months, both times in very cold weather. This is a pretty expensive repair to have every winter.
The service bulletin is pretty old so I doubt they even look for it but yes if they try hard enough they can find it and if the rear main started leaking again in 13 months makes me think they did not removed the intake to clean out the pcv system as stated on The bulletin on the video also the ecm needs to have be up-dated to current calibrations and would recommend changing the oil before winter around november to try and remove any moisture in the oil and to try to prevent it on mine i replaced my oil cap and havent had aproblem with mine and this pass week the wheater its been in the negative numbers. Hope it helps
@@MTG6.2 I'll ask the mechanic to take a look for the bulletin, I'm sure he will be thrilled 🤣. My oil was changed just a few weeks ago.
@@kenledbetter4979 need to clean the pcv orifice in the intake manifold or you will just keep blowing seals they should of known this the first time u took it in its a common issue with the 2.4
@@thomaswalton9089 It was repaired at a GM dealer, they told me they did that so I'm hoping it last a while.
NICE VIDEO. TY
Mine just took a 💩 McGraw 21 Gallon 175 psi Vertical Model. The Electric Motor failed. I 'don't' recommend anyone buy these. In my opinion, they're junk !! Owning mine for about two years. I may use it a half dozen times in a month. Mostly for airing up tires. Sometimes run it with a couple of air tools. But definitely not overworked. Being it was oil free & less maintenance. I gave it a shot. That was a mistake.
That’s pretty much how i use mine,so far still working just fine with no problems
@@MTG6.2 Reading other people's reviews. I'm hearing the same thing. About two years of use & they're all done. Feel like I threw away $200 plus dollars. I didn't get the extended warranty. ☹
How come you spelling the garage with Λ & Σ🤔
Just to make it stand out from other channels with similar names and keep it different haha, good question
What about the circle bushing and little rod? That’s what I need? Does it come in that kit? If not then what’s part# on those?
No it does not come with it i would ask your snap on guy if you know one and see if you could get them i tried looking it up on snap on website and couldn’t find anything out if I remember i can ask the snap on guy and see if you can even get those
Thanks
