ender 3s are a great start into the hobby, thats what i started on! congrats!

These are great. Couple of upgrades will make it better. 32bit MB, crouch, octoprint (on a raspberry pi or similar) glass bed. There is other upgrades but these make big differences. Not only with printing but it will be significantly quieter.

Reminds me of my first printer, hope you have fun! Also, get a silent stepper motherboard for your printer model, it helps with not pulling your hair out every time its in use

Ah, the good ol ender 3. I’ve had mine for about 5 years and it was well, as the comments say, sadly garbage. This year for Xmas I got a Bambu labs and it’s heavenly in comparison. But, Fret not. The ender 3 is an amazing machine for getting started into 3D printing, considering how it has a tendency to occasionally malfunction, it’s an excellent learning experience for a newcomer. And with that comes its hackablity, since it’s so open source, you can put tons of mods on, and its community is vast and helpful. Anyways congrats on the new machine, and I wish you good luck onwards.

Dont listen to the people Who say the Ender 3 Is garbage, the reality Is that It works great from the factory and of are not satisfied there are a lot of upgrades the community has made over the years

I once saw a nema head with a coated high pressure sodium light. Coated HPS is rare, but I once saw one inside a nema head. It was probably 100W. It was weird that there was a coated HPS bulb in it. I also saw them in some wall packs, but that’s about it. Coated HPS is rare. I think that nema head had a Sylvania ET shaped lamp, I did not know much about HID lighting at the time but I thought it would emit a white light, then I saw it startup at night and it shifted into an orange high pressure sodium color. I don’t remember the brand of the fixture, but it was a nema head and it was high pressure sodium.

It maybe time for a new ballast. Eather way that is sa pretty nice light.
