Many people...and I include myself...were bullied into "believing" or better put "not disbelieve" because of horror stories of unspeakable suffering for all eternity. And when I finally arrived at that point of considering God, amazing things I can't describe began to happen. But why at that point? Because I was ready to be open to it when things began to make sense and fear had been banished.

Many of these countries are grounded in a history of monarchy or catholicism and many of these countries were and are still rich because they got to the top first centuries ago after enslaving many countries that are now third world countries through viceroyalties and yes religious control that have made the other countries less fortunate up to this day, filled with corruption and even rampant anarchy in many cases. You won't find any black, nor hispanic, nor latin country in these "best countries ever". There's also other subjective arguments such as if we're measuring happiness based off of metrics or from subjective experience of an enjoyable life, the latter being entirely unable to be measured but anecdotically I could count more happy people in underdeveloped countries than in many secular ones with high depression rates. This is less about a person having faith in a religion as an individual and perhaps your argument is healthier when we talk about A Better World were religion is not part of the system. We should advocate for education towards social mobility - the idea of letting people die in better conditions than in those they were born in. We want crops to grow and our experience gives us reason to conclude that giving them water will do that. Calling this "objective truth" may be a convenient way to describe such a conclusion that we find justified by way of our experience, but doing so is not evidence of some metaphysical connection between humans and the non-human by which we can gauge the "correctness" of any of our beliefs. If someone said that giving crops water doesn't make them grow, then calling them "objectively wrong" is just another way to say that I disagree with them.

I see no reason to believe atheism (negation of God) is reality or in any way is compatible with reality. Atheism is intellectually lazy and weak, held without evidence. Reality is vastly more compatible with God's existence. God's existence has vast explanatory power and scope, while atheism is insanely inadequate /insufficient to account for reality.
