Ep 24 - Kununurra & Surrounds
Every inch of the Kimberley can be quite the adventure and our time around Kununurra was nothing short of amazing. We had the opportunity to call the place home for a short while as we shacked up with a mate, using his place as a solid base to get out and about and to look under the surface of what is an often overlooked town. If you get the chance, definitely give Kunnas and surrounds a solid look in.

Ep 22 - Gurindji Country & The VRD
Просмотров 224Год назад
In this episode, we depart Katherine and venture west along the Victoria Hwy before taking a detour to the south along the Buntine to go deep into Gurindji country. We spend time with mates on the Vic River, do some more hikes, and finally, after 8 months in the Territory, make it across the border into WA .... via the Duncan!

Fam & friends, here's the missing link of stuff we didn't tell you about our travels through the iconic Kakadu NP in Darwin's Top End. We miss you all. Lots of love, Us. xox
Ep 20 - Leaving Larrakia
Просмотров 1542 года назад
There's definitely something about Larrakia country that makes it a little hard to leave, and, after a 3 month housesit (but really 7 months in the area) we were no exception. It took us an entire month to leave! This episode outlines the fun we had, the connections we made, and why it was so hard for us to leave. Enjoy!
Ep18(b) Return to the Plateau

In this episode, the boys return to the Mitchell Plateau to finish off the build for Outback Spirit's Ngauwudu Safari Camp and have a heap of fun doing so.
Ep18(a) Ngauwudu Safari Camp, Mitchell Plateau
Просмотров 7682 года назад
The stunning Kimberley area of northwest Western Australia is reportedly one of the last frontiers. It is also ancestral and transformative in nature. As our introduction to this ancient land, we found ourselves living and working in the jewel of the Kimberely, the Mitchell Plateau. The task at hand was to expand Outback Spirit's Safari Camp at Ngauwudu. This episode has been filmed mostly duri...

If you're interested in the place, get in touch with the local real estate who will have it advertised. Still can't find it, get in touch with us and we'll contact the owner ...

Crocs galore to satisfy all your dreams of close encounters with this modern-day dinosaur, plus airboat adventures, choppers, beers, fire and sunsets for days from the deck. Ep16 - Alice to Darwin

The straight and narrow highway from Mbantwe to Larrakia country has many hidden and fun treasures along the way. Join us as we experience the well-traveled Stuart highway and see some common and not-so-common sights.
Ep14 - Rainbow Valley

In this beautiful part of Australia, we take in the healing energies of this magical place and leave feeling more refreshed than ever!
Ep13 - Uluru & Kata Tjuta
Просмотров 3252 года назад
This majestic landscape impacted us in more ways than its visual beauty. A deep undercurrent of land rights and political upheaval rose to the surface and got us digging deeper into the injustices for Indigenous Australia. Some wins but more to be had. The power of Tjurkurpa can't be underestimated!
Ep12 - Palm Valley & Watarrka National Park
Просмотров 5272 года назад
For the past 2 weeks we've been traveling through the ancestral lands of Albert Namatjira's father and in this episode, we move on to his mother's country of the Palm Valley region. Next, we take the Mereenie loop as the short cut into Watarrka and hike the world-class Kings Canyon Rim Walk. A must-do in this area of Australia!

Great video. Loved hearing the magpie as we crossed the arctic circle. Makes you homesick.
Thanks for the feedback Robert. Your current adventure sounds far from Oz! It’s no wonder the call of the old magpie bought your mind back to Australia. How wonderful. We look forward to catching up again.

Love your raw, real and down-to-earth videos. Many thanks for bringing back good memories. We somehow missed the nice spots on the way from Kunna to Parry Creek (Buttons Crossing, Middle Springs, etc.). Will have to do that next time… We really enjoyed staying at Parry Creek. Did you deliberately skip the Old Karunjie Track (Boab Prison Tree - Pentecost Crossing)? Greetz from Europe
What an epic video… your best so far! We visited Purnululu twice (2003 & 2009), both times late(r) in the Dry. Never seen it so green. Experiencing the Kimberleys in the (late) Wet / early Dry is still on our bucket list.
Thanks Sven. There really are so many changes that take place across the year with such a rich opportunity to see the area in so many ways. We were back at Wolfe Creek crater just the other day and it had a mini lake of water in it! Incredible. Stay tuned for more episodes…. Coming up soon! ❤️
It's good to have you back! Greetz from Europe, Sven&Ellen
Enjoy! We have another couple of episodes dropping the 1st of June & July. They might cover the places you guys also visited when here in Oz.
@@off2see...australia80 Thanks, we certainly will 😉
Was wonderful having you guys help out at top springs . Unfortunately we have moved on ourselves. Hopefully catch up again somewhere.
That’d be great mate. We had a ball staying with you two. See ya round the traps!

@@sbiggs10 The fella doing the solo bike trek on the Oodnadatta was Trent and we met another solo cyclist, Ben who he met up with in Alice and they cycled out around Uluṟu and Kings Canyon together. Ben is featured in Ep.15
We only just found your channel and are binge watching now. Great footage and storytelling. Very much hoping you will continue to travel and vlog! This specific episode brings back some very fond memories of our two trips (thus far) to 🇦🇺 (2003 as 'dinks' and 2009 with kids). Both times we visited the Top End and loved it. Greetz from Europe
Hi Sven, Thanks very much for your feedback. It’s so nice to hear that it’s bringing back positive memories for you folk over the other side of the world! We are definitely continuing our travels, this time in the desert. Unsurprisingly, our episodes are very far behind in being published as the time required to edit is huge! But more episodes definitely on the way… eventually. Thanks for watching guys and it’s so wonderful to know that you’re enjoying the memories from your Aussie travels. ❤️
@@off2see...australia80 Great to hear! We were afraid you went back to work and stopped traveling 😉 Cheers, Sven&Ellen
Well, we are working@@svenfokkema3440 Just not your usual office jobs! 😃 From May - Sept we will be doing 16 day expeditions through 4 of Western Australia’s deserts. Can’t wait to film the Milky Way out there. We’re expecting sensational sunrises, sunsets and wildlife too! It’s a place where not too many people venture, so we look forward to sharing it with you. Again, thanks for watching. Enjoy the binge!
What a beautiful video ❤
Thanks lovely. Central Oz was definitely a highlight for us. We hope that you and your fam can also get to experience the magic too.

Amazing!!!

So pretty!!!!
So good !!!!!
Loved this! We have done a little tour of many of the places you visited, but now I'm feeling like we'd be missing out if we didn't circle back at some future some and do the whole larapinta trail! I guess that's the point, right!? Amazing. Loved every minute of this watch.
Yes, it’s so stunning that the Red Centre is definitely worth an entire trip. About 2 months should do it! Or an entire year!!! 😂
What a VIBE!!!! I feel like I was there (and both spots are definitely on my bucket list- even moreso now). Edits were 🤌🤌 You guys are #lifestylegoals #lifeexperiencegoals Also, where do I get one of those Great Northern stocked fridges? Hahaha
At the Mitchell Plateau on a wet season Staff Special! 😂😂 Thanks hun. Yes, northern Oz is definitely worth the time and effort.
Just want to thank you guys for picking up my Tiffany necklace. It was great to meet you, we enjoy your travels. All the best Janet and Graham 👍
Hi Janet and Graham, It was so lovely to meet you too. We hope you love the pearls that you bought in Broome and glad that your necklace made it back to you safely! See you again sometime.

Trip look great, good video folks, thanks for sharing,
Our pleasure. Always an adventure to be had!
Very interesting, you guys look like you're having fun.😁
Thanks Colin. We agree. There's no better lifestyle than traveling Australia right now.
Great to see you guys . Thanks for that. I love Albert's paintings ❤️ And you have some wonderful memories and photographs, well done to both you 👏
Thanks Rho, Central Australia really is a special place. So ancient and rich in culture and beauty ❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing.
Just found your channel Jess and Ash and have spent all Australia Day binge watching your story. I will be leaving Warwick this Easter and following the first part of your route round to the Alice - but travelling solo on a motorbike. Your videos and presentation are awesome.
Fantastic John! Your planned trip will be utterly amazing. We talked to a lot of solo motorcyclists along the Oodnadatta track in particular and saw their setups. Anything and everything is possible. We're so excited about your trip. If you head up to Darwin after your trip to Alice, give us a hoy as we're currently doing a 3 month housesit. It'll be great to talk about your adventures. Let us know if you end up filming it; we'd love to see it. After the housesit, we're heading west along the Gibb River road to Broome then south to Perth, eventually into SA, VIC, TAS etc. We've got no end date so stay tuned!
@@off2see...australia80 Awesome - I'll be in Darwin May/ June and will look forward to sharing a yarn in person.
Sounds like a plan! Safe travels bud.
I like your style of presentation traveller from way back ruclips.net/video/ksDSaNcBgCY/видео.html
Hi Hans, Thank you for the compliment. These videos will be sure to keep our memories alive for years to come. I love your video featuring Herbie the Beatle. When we were in Mt Dare, we picked up a kids book recounting the (true story) travels of a little blue Beatle called 'Onslow' who traveled the Simpson Desert from Birdsville to Mount Dare.
Silly question but what time of the year were you out there?
Hi Phil, we were in the Red Centre for about 6 weeks from Aug to Sept. It was such a stunning time to visit with all the wildflowers in bloom and some fabulous artsy/ cultural festivals on offer too. We travelled the West Macs then onto Kings Canyon, Uluru/ Kata-Juta with our final Red Centre adventure to the East Macs. There are some really beautiful Indigenous artworks so easily accessible from the road however the TO's ask that they not be photographed so we haven't included them here. Another reason to travel there in person.
Just wonderful scenery. Great backing music also. Your commentary gives the country meaning. Hopefully this year we can start our trip out of Adelaide. One day we will get to Queensland and all it’s magical towns. Cheers
