Which is more aggressive? (I would rlly appreciate it if u answer this)
The reticulated hillstream loach is more aggressive. They are also more tolerant of water parameters.
@@mayukhghosh7052 oh, they can also be kept in cooler waters right?
@@WhiteCloudAffinityI know hillstream loaches can be in an unheated tank but I don't know about Borneo suckers ❤
Beautiful collection of barilius, whats your source?
Galiff Street fish market in Kolkata.
I thought black ghost knives are complete carnivorous fish..
@@Bhattacharjeeankita1996 I used to think so as well until I saw them eating my plants in the tank.
Beautiful 👌
Is that the male there with the long black stripe on the dorsal fin?
Males have elongated dorsal fins. The colour is almost the same but the elongation at the end is very distinctive.
@@mayukhghosh7052 Thank you for the fast response! I bought a pair of them at Petco and I’m pretty sure they are indeed a male/female pair. Trying to nurse them back to health now they seem okay just almost starved
They will recover with good food and warm water. They really need warm water.
@@mayukhghosh7052 I cranked the heat on them to about 86 to boost their appetite and I’ve been soaking sinking pellets in a little garlic and feeding them in case they have any internal parasites. Do you find they need water as warm as the German Blue Rams?
@nsane992002 not as warm but warm enough. They get very sluggish in cooler water.
Has yours always came out? My l114 I’ve had for 6 months and only comes out if all lights are off when I feed the tank. And literally only comes out and grabs a piece of food then back to hiding for 3 days and repeat lol
Same goes with me. Now they only come out to eat and then instantly go back to hiding.
I've never seen a fish be petted
Now you did. 😁
They don't call em catfish for nothing
Very nice! 😁
Oh my god! Hi please do guide me on this if you can as I recently bought 6 pairs of these. Water level in my tank is approximately 2 to 3 inches lower than the glass height and my tank is without lid, should I be concerned? Will they climb on glass while they are out of water??? Many thanks
It's necessary to put something at the top edges of the tank which will prevent them from actually going out of the tank. Lids usually have enough gaps that allow the fish to pass through.
😮😮
Hey Gent, lovly setup. How long is teh tank - 160 cm ? and are these mainly Malabaricus - with the males being darker with more orange ?
You’re absolutely right.
That's such a pretty fish!!!!!
Take everything out of the damn tank keep only those two
Do you have manacarapu angel fish for selling ?
Yes, I have 3 pairs and a female.
Hii.. anyway to contact you

Nice setup. I enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome ❤❤
😯 They are crazy. I had one climb out of my tank. And I didn't find him in time unfortunately but they are very cool little fish
Very easy to breed!
which is better algae eater from these 2?
Hillstram loach for sure in my experience.
Is this an issue? I have 3 hillstream loaches, 2 of which I got from my LPS yesterday. One of the new ones has been constantly chasing after the other two. Is this usual behavior for hillstreams?
Yup, they get super defensive of their grazing spots, it's usually better to get 4 to 6 at a time, depending on the price, of course.
@@Constantine_Cvl8 that's an unhinged reply lol
@@ChromiumFilms how?
@@Constantine_Cvl8 I found it funny to say they are very defensive and then to get a ton of defensive grazing fish sounded a bit fishy haha
@@ChromiumFilms I... I still don't get it...
which one was the hillstream and the borneo? the black one hillstream?
Yes.
are the mouth of those 2 different???
No.
The Sewellia (HsL) has a smaller and narrower mouth than the Gastromyzon (BS)
apni bengali to dada apni kothay rakhan fish gulo any pond??

ㅣㅣ기,
That Borneo sucker is like a pit Bull and the other is the lab
Awesome discus Tubifex how come Are they still alive
Tubifex is very easy to get them eating. I gave them away.
hi. amazing video. I have a few questions regarding this setup. 1. How many hillstream loaches did you put initial and what the ratio between male and femal 2. what is the tank size 3. what filtration do you use ( sponge, HOB, canister) 4. what's the lighting period? 5. what tank mates apart from mountains minnows? 6. what substrate do you use with the river rocks? (can I use eco complete gravel for the set up? 7. how long until they started spawning and what can we do to help? 8. what's the feeding schedule and what food is good? sorry for asking lots of questions. thank you so much for sharing this amazing set up
Cute but my red tail cat fish likes me very much it follows me in the tank and loves to get pet
Planning to get a borneo sucker soon. I have a reticulated hillstream loach with a couple of panda garras. He likes to play tag with them. The borneo loach looks so cool!
How old are they? on the video
About 1.5 years old as much I remember.
@@mayukhghosh7052 How are they now? I have 4 gar and 4 rtc bro in 1 year it can grow 25-30 inch? or nah?
They're dead now. Only in ponds they can grow that fast. It's difficult in home aquaria.
@@mayukhghosh7052 Sad to hear that, rtc is not a hardy fish bro? how many years u have them in ur pondp
People keep saying you can keep Royal Plecos with other bottom dwelling fish. Is it entirely true?
I used to keep a royal pleco but I have moved it to bring something else.
Nice cave! 🤩
Yes!
Bhai aur bhi koi fish own karte ho kya jaise ki alligator gar , fantom redtail , arrowana. Agar own karte ho to please video mei dikhao
I have a large alligator gar. I'll try to make a good video of it.
Love my hillstream loaches
They're very unique.
Val laga dete
They grow too fast.
Bhai amazon River me toh java fern nahi hai. Fir aapne kaise laga diya
There's no Java fern in the tank. And it's not a proper biotope. It's inspired by the style.
But bro plz give name of plant you used
Cryptocoryne, Amazon sword, Anubias.
Anubias toh nahi ata amzazon me. Aur crypto bhi nahi hai amazon me
I only used easy growing plants as it's blackwater.
I got a redtail catfish but it’s only 2inches
Cool video bhai. Good to see serious hobbyists from India.
Thanks a lot! They're breeding a lot lately and doing really well.
Nice! I just bought two babies, less than 3 inches!
They'll get massive in no time!
I hope you have enough space for them. Also dont leave them in the wild, if they get too big for you. Either re-home them, give back to the store or euthanize them.
