top man Clive...
Going to get my Year 11 physics students to watch this video and write an essay based on it as part of their lockdown extension work
Amazing!
Dr Robin Banerjee gave an incredible lecture during my PGCE. Absolute OG.
inspirational
Let the victim Olympics begin...
Without honesty, where would we be? ... working for the BBC!
I was only able to get involved in this are due to the enthusiasms, insight and insanity of Dr Mika Peck (the conservation biologist I mentioned). Our work is part of an international effort in this area. The concept of the acoustic niche was introduced by Bernie Krause whose incredible archives are currently on show in London at The Vinyl Factory (Oct 2-Dec 8 2019) www.ft.com/content/64202126-deb5-11e9-b8e0-026e07cbe5b4?fbclid=IwAR0u3uze8n4_kv_Iry-2_Xn7_yOqGHHP8yZm4xThf0egcxqn_HkIXj6RQnE
A Professor of Kindness - what a satisfying application of an in-depth education! Thank you Robin Banerjee; may all your hopes for your research and its dissemination be realised.
Amazing talk from Alice, greatly eloquent lecturer and introduced me to the world of acoustic ecology. :D
love Dr Alice Eldridge, she is honestly probably the reason I am doing PhD in use of genetic algorithms! Evolution is such a cool interconnected system. She seems to have an amazing ability to link to many subjects together!
Thanks Peter - nice to know that Generative Creativity lectures had such an impact! Be good to catch up soon, I suspect some of your work might be useful in this domain too ...
This so nice to see: he had a tough act to follow, but has done a great job. Well done, Dr. Sanjeev Bhaskar.
Doucet is a state-controlled narrative manager, NOT a journalist .
Eine tolle Lady, ich gratuliere zum 90. Geburtstag !
He is one of the most useless newsreaders of all time! He hasn't the voice or the intelligence to read the news and his presentation is terrible! His head-shaking gets on my nerves!
Hello, it it possible to apply to this accommodation for September 2019 entry? And where can I see photos of the interior
Saidah Iman you can apply for this now and you can google pictures of it and it will come up x
Such humility! Sits perfectly with caviar and communism.
DIE, people who invented this.
There's not going to be a second referendum (aka "people's vote") Nobody is going to extend article 50. Nobody is going to withdraw article 50. It's pure drivel. If deal is not voted on, we leave without a deal. We didn't vote for a "deal". We voted to leave the eu.
Is that right? :D
Could Masterchef get any better? Yes it could!
First
Good start really really big to keep Moore's Law going when you first start with quantum computing.
more like Rose's LAw
the implications of applications.... wew lads
When will it be small enough to fit inside my pocket computer?
cooling comes firstly
Say "What!"
You guys are awesome!
I have seen 3d manipulation using this method but can it capture and move soot from a power stations smoke stack fast and energy efficient enough ?
D'Arcy Trinkwon is a large organ virtuoso!
So this must not be a large organ, because the whole piece sounds so very wrong ! Too fast and with the wrong stops. Your wonderful music spoiled. What a pity.
Exactly my thoughts!
theres this book called Forbidden Science and theres a bit that talks about monks lined up in certain geometrical patterns with rocks in the center. then they would all play drums at a certain frequency that would then levitate the rocks...pretty crazy
Fabulous playing by a Great Master!
it's a low density high frequency sound pushed through a tiny super speaker. if you listen closely you can actually pick up a weird high pitched hum. I'm sure they in that room can either feel or hear something they cannot describe to the viewers. Amazing!
+FreshcoGreenz Now that you mention it I'm kinda picking up on it now.

see google +
Smh... this isn't a "sonic tractor beam"... it's a sonic repulsor beam.
Hypothetically, what happens if you flip it over? Hover craft?
+t8ertube doesnt seem like it can support too much weight , and the particle has to be stuck between the waves, so it wouldnt work on a big surface
Great! Although I'm a Student (this is my Current Event Assignment), I can make jokes about this having to do with Star Trek.
Aweomse...So it makes sound we cannot hear...i would have liked to see it manipulated rather than just floating as stated in article...but still really cool
Very good! . From science fiction to reality - sonic tractor beam invented. www.nanowerk.com/nanotechnology-news/newsid=41694.php
