Appreciate you commenting. For record - I wasn't referring to the Gotti arrest for the Castellano hit. Yes, he was arrested at the Ravenite club for that. Prior to that, he had faced charges (that he mainly beat) through the years that he had to show up for. On march 28, 1985 10 people, including Gotti were indicted that that had to show up and stand trial for. He had turned himself in to face charges on occasions. I apologize if I made it sound like it was for the Castellano hit. I mentioned the date of May, 1985, well before the Castellano hit, when he had to turn himself in and show up to face charges (which he beat). Hope that clears up the information and apologies for thr confusion. Thanks for watching!!!

, Although you are right about John never turning himself in the video never said it was for the final 1990 pinch. He got arrested in the street for the O"Connor case. Also it's never been said that John was planning on killing Sammy he was badmouthing him on the tapes but never put a hit on him until after he turned which if you think he didnt do for lighter sentence your nuts.....he was facing life in jail and had never served a day in jail prior to that arrest.

Yes, Gotti turned himself in on several occasions when he faced (and beat) various charges. The date I referred to was in May 1985. I wasnt referring to the Castellano hit which happened in Dec 85 - yes, he was arrested at the Ravenite. There is news footage of him spending the day in a park taking his time before turning himself in, so, yes, he did on various occasions have to show up to face charges. My apologies for the confusion as it was a prior charge I referred to. Sammy has given many reasons in various interviews why he turned. Listen to the Diane Sawyer one. Yes, maybe because of what he heard but it was also because of the lighter sentence and not doing time. It was brought up. Thanks for watching!!!

I thought the same, but then turns out i wasn't paying attention to the video. He was talking about May 85. Pretty interesting - i didn't know about his cigar shop visit, which seems to now be a gift shop that i bought a pack of playing cards from during my trip to NYC. Wonder did he get into a car afterwards and say "now take me to jail"

There were multiple times he had to show up and turn himself in to face charges, which he beat. On May 20th, 1985, it was one of those days and he stopped by the cigar shop. Most likely the presiding judge was too. Which is why the trial went the way it did, despite allll the damning evidence and testimonies and why they're still in prison today 😢

This was easily one of the most heartbreaking cases ever. I will cover it at some point. Absolutely breaks my heart.

Yeah it was a sad tragedy I just wish it never would have happened the way it did I hope they all rest in peace the two teachers and the students that lost their lives on that very tragic day would you be able to visit the students that died that day at Rob elementary and also the Columbine victims and if you ever get a chance to come to Buffalo would you be able to visit the graves of Rick James and the Buffalo police officer Craig lehner he's the Buffalo police officer who drowned in the Niagara River in Buffalo in October 2017
