Always gotta love it when some random person on social media wants to chime in. The only people whose opinion on these matters I give any weight to are other fighters. And not all of them, because a lot of them are kinda deranged or just too ego driven to be honest with anyone much less themselves. But there are many intelligent and sensible fighters too. Guys like DJ, Whittaker, etc. The intelligent fighters that aren't just walking egos. Khabib style is based on what is effective to win fights. It's based on control. Avoiding damage. Some might say it's boring or not fan friendly. What made Khabib great wasn't his strength or body or anything like that. Sure he had excellent cardio because he's not a lazy bum. What made him great was his mind. His strategy. Always multiple steps ahead and putting people into traps to get them going where he wanted them to go. He puts you in a position and forces you to make a decision, he knows what the options are, and where each chain of events leads. The most under rated part of Khabib's game was his unconventional striking defense. If you look at his stats he has some of the best striking defense numbers in the game. He avoided taking damage and built his style on control while still being highly aggressive and forcing the action.

As good as Khabib is, his division is just filled with Kick boxers. It's why Islam is able to dominate now, though I believe Islam is a better fighter overall, and can adjust. His resume isn't that great. I think it's wild to even put him in the top 5 when there's fighters like GSP, MM, JJ, Stipe, Cormier, Izzy, Usman

As style goes he is not? If he is the mma goat, it doesn't matter the style, it's mma not one style, so that's wrong off the bat, I don't think he is goat, but it is hard to argue not. But mma goat isn't about looking for a style because that is the point. There is not a 1 style in mixed martial arts.

I loved his style. The dagastanis are my favorite fighters because of their style.
