ADS 1.2.73 Now Has Selection Focus Zoom Scrolling.
Просмотров 896 месяцев назад
This release fixes some small bugs and introduces a selection based focus zoom scroll feature that keeps the selected object/s on screen when you zoom in. Normally the camera will move in the forward direction causing selected objects to move outside of the viewing window. You can pan the view back but since this is a common action automating it will simplify daily use of ADS.

New Engine and 180 Degree Exhaust Plan for kits and vehicles for sale
Просмотров 1608 месяцев назад
We are calibrating the Pie cut exhaust feature today. 180 degree headers with an LS and LT V8 engine is the new plan to pair with an electric option. The LS LT are affordable, reliable, serviceable with good power. If we can get a great sound they should be a good fit. We also demo our new CNC Tube Notcher that will be for sale soon. The old Notcher still works despite a few challenges.

Hi, do you guys have a website where we can request information
Hi, looking forward to see it when it’s completed I m looking to purchase a kit car but from Canada not the US the import is complicated
HI and how do I get to buy one of these cars? Thanks
Beautiful!
Once your ready for production would u take payment for just the fiberglass body ??
I purchased the unlimited version, have added the license successfully, can see all the added features fine. But having an issue with outside files. Is there a way to import dxf files? Tried to import but there's no option to do dxf, and using stl or g code wont load files just gives never changing empty loading bar. Tried to do it as open under File, that just spins circle like its loading as well but never does. I tried this with a few different files that work in other programs with no issue. Be a real pain to have to convert dxf to stl just to import them or start from scratch on some base designs i want to modify.
Hi Josh thanks for your support and sorry for the issues loading files. I will be working to fix these issues. I can add DXF import as a new feature for the next release. I will do testing on import of gcode and stl. Which platform are you running on? Thanks
Also would you be able to send me a DXF file as an example that you will be importing for testing? Otherwise no worries. Email is: jon@armaautomotive.com
I'm using windows based laptop tried it on my design laptop which is win 11, so I thought maybe an issue with that. Also tried on windows 10 but same out come. For just testing purposes I have grabbed free files from the langmuirsystems fire share (free) site. I was going to test for example the f bomb beer opener as a simple design to modify. Appreciate the quick reply! I do get it's a work in progress! Also at this price point, imho if you stream lined the basic 2d portion for plasma cnc, laser cutting I think you would see an uptick in sales. Just my .02
Hey Josh, I have released a new version 1.2.66 that includes a very basic DXF import feature. There will be a lot of features/object types not supported but I can update as needed over time.
Crazy, I had just designed up a similar machine to your new one. I was intending to have the tube be clamped in stationary. Then I am giving the torch 6 inches of travel movement down the length. I am planning to run it from an arduino with a bunch of preloaded bologna cuts, as well as be able to load from a microsd. So, if a guy was building something on the fly and already did his bending, you would still be able to load the bent tube, cut the notches. Don't know if I am actually going to build it, I can always notch with the holesaw jig.
Nice, This new machine has an SD card reader for the GCode also. The big benefit of the combination of our software, notcher and bender is that the notches and bends are all aligned together for fast and accurate production.
Ehat is yhe donor car? And how much for the body
The engine and control arms, with hub are C5/C6 Corvette. The transmission is a Boxster S or Cayman 6 speed manual. This body is our prototype and the new production body will be available soon from our website. Probably $15K for the body is a guess.
Its April of 2024 now ... Is this Kit available today ? Yes or No. If Yes ...where can the order be made ?
Not yet, We are finalizing the design based on some lessons from the prototype. You can send us your contact info at the website armaautomotive.com if you would like updates when it's ready. Thanks for watching.
Hello guys, any fix for the windows version? I already tried on 2 different computers but program won´t open...
Thanks for reaching out. We have been working on it as a top priority but still don't have a solution yet. Thanks for your interest. Hopefully we can get a resolution soon.
I just don't understand why it looks like a 458 Italia. Why not just make a fresh, new design and call it your own? Was there a reason besides lack of creativity?
This is a prototype, the design fas finalized many years ago and we have a new design almost ready for sale. Also we offer software and tools for anyone to make vehicles based on their own design. We have CAD/CAM software, CNC tube notchers and benders and a 5Axis router for making moulds.
Anyone knows why program won´t open? I just see a black windows open then closes and nothing else happens.
Thanks for trying. We have an alternate version download now that should run. Let me know if you have any questions or need help. Thanks!
I forgot to show the curve and mesh snap and conform context button tool. Next time.
"Promo SM" 🤗
It’s next year is that bad machine ready?
We are still working on design items on the chassis and our router for manufacturing body panels.
@@ArmaAutomotive I will wait greatness takes time
Kit cars are generally sold as a bare chassis, body panels, windshield and some accesories or electrical wiring and the customer is responsible for sourcing and assembling everything else that is required to complete the vehicle before inspection, registration and insurance can be purchased to drive it on the road.👍
Thanks.
Excellent
What's the possible maximum length of the engine that can fit in the chassis?
I will take some measurements and follow up.
How much does the whole build cost
The prototype was expensive with lots of experimenting but the production kit build should be in the 100k USD range. Less with used components and more with better components.
I love kit cars but they’re not worth it in the long run everybody told me that and has warned me about it I still didn’t listen built a mr2 turbo wide body had to add fiberglass and bondo body filler to make the car look clean the guy who did the work was from a shop that won contest many times on import tuner magazine from back in the days he always had like 30 cars stacked in his shop putting on wide body kits for a lot of people well long story short even he told me the exterior won’t last forever maybe 10 years it will start cracking in certain area where you’ll have to fix it so mr2 after 15 years finally started cracking from the weather and conditions driving rock chips so on. That’s when I thought about it and I’m like for the money I put into this car 30 thousand dollars during the year 2003 I should of had just bought a car and did a motor swap instead your probably going to ript out your hair when I tell you this or reading this at the year 2003 rx7 was only 3-6 thousand dollars my friend got one for 6 thousand and did a ford motor swap in it to make the engine more reliable . The 1968 fastback mustang at the time was only 3 thousand my friend had 2 of them I regret not buying one and beat myself up everyday buying a mr2 turbo with wide body kit . Now the mustang is like 40-100 k the rx7 15-60k well anyways I brought that up to share my experience and that was my opinion . I like your opinion as well I’m always open minded to everything sometimes it doesn’t matter what people say you just have to learn from your own mistakes atleast you got to live the moment at the moment as long as you were happy at that time than by gone be by gone move on .
after 10 years many things may start to crack, even normal Ferraris depending on treatment but you're right, they may be more susceptible Solutions could include carbon fibre encasing similar to LaserStirling3d's method
This is a really good point. Especially when you consider the time value of your time making custom body work. One of our goals is to offer body panel manufacturing as an affordable service for custom designs. We are working on CAD and CAM software, so you can take a 3d scan of a vehicle body, design or have a designer make a model and have us make fiberglass panels. Because the process is automated with a giant 5 axis cnc router the cost should be reasonably affordable and replacement parts are feasible. How long fiberglass panels last especially exposed to the sun is unknown but if we can take out the staggering labour cost and just make more panels we can still have custom designs. Do you still have the mr2 car?
@@ArmaAutomotive oh wow that’s cool info , to answer your question short no I no longer have the mr2 . The long story I’ll try to explain it fast The state I lived in was very strict with modded cars but I did my engine swap legally I took the car to the dmv and showed them what engine I had so they made me pay for 2 registration papers one was for the car chassis the other for the engine . Than every year I had to smog it where I barely made it pass . I got a inspection on the car twice so I’m like yeah I might have to sell this money pit unless I move to a different state where it’s not strict so that was when I made the decision of selling it and the new owner got the car impounded I already knew that was going to happen it was a life lesson for me when your young your dumb my conclusion of predicting what eventually would happened happened luckily didn’t happen to me but unfortunately happened to someone else . But hey if your into classic cars you can do anything you want to them without having to smog it . Currently I just drive a e92 keeping it all stock just so I can go grocery shopping or out around the town but if I ever get into modding cars again probably going for the Datsun 240z
I'm curious to know if your chassis design can support a NA Mazda RX-7 (4) Rotor, 10,000 RPM engine matted to a "Quick Shift" sequential 6 speed transaxle..??? 🤔 Thanks..!!! 😎
I will investigate.
I also noticed that your design appears to not have an "Aero" package displayed in the *"first 2 mins"* of this video..??? 🤔 Have you already developed either a Front and/or Rear *"Spoiler/Diffuser"* for this design? 🤔.., Thanks. 😎👌🏾
@@normanrobinson1932we haven’t yet although it is planned. The production kit will look different from this model also as it’s about three years old. We will be publishing the production designs soon.
Beautiful!next,park it then get people's reactions!😊
Good idea!
@@ArmaAutomotive yaa!
Can i pay to build one
Where are you located? The local area will determine the rules for the build.
Why am i just now spotting this car and channel?😢
No time better than now! Thanks for watching.
@ArmaAutomotive no problem,BTW i plan on doing the same thing you are doing,I have more work to do though like getting the actual skills and money and connections while taking notes from those before me but at least I have a design rn lol

Very much looking forward to seeing the updates on this. Especially with the exterior design.
Thanks for watching. Same here, The interior on the next car should be much much more complete.
@@ArmaAutomotive I'm really looking forward to see it.
What if i wanted to use a bmw v10 in my kit would it be pretty hard
I think it should work, is it the s85? I would check the length and also that a transaxle is available. We use the g87 Porsche Boxster s and an adapter from Kennedy engineering.
How much for a turnkey USD?
We are working to finalize the production kit and hoping to have more information next year.
I would be cautious of DDR motorsports tho. I just talked with someone who made an order and they still haven't received their order in two years plus.
Oh, I haven't had any experience with them, thats good to know.
what does it look like from the outside
Ill post some more videos from the outside soon.
@@ArmaAutomotive okay thanks
458, 430 and enzo vibes, i have mixed feelings but i like it !
This is our prototype and our production body looks different. Hoping to have it ready for next year.
@@ArmaAutomotive looking forward ArmaAutomotive. I remember when I used to bug nathan@inspirecnc about making a mold for my own concept, but I used to have insufficient funds until I had more money coming in, then I decided to just do the project myself!!!
Are you worried that you will be sued for using the Ferrari 458's design??
The production design looks different from this prototype. The design of this model is where we were at three years ago. So our products do t look like this and we have filed for design protection of the new model.
Where is the kit purchased from?
We are almost ready to sell components for a kit. I hope to have something in the next few months. More information will be available here: armaautomotive.com/tools/
Is that CNC notcher something you guys had built in house or is it a commercially available product? Very impressive operation!
We built this one and we will be selling parts as a kit if you want to build one also.
how do I order the kit? Does it use Bend-Tech Pro@@ArmaAutomotive
I did'nt know that there was a Canadian kit car maker. Definitly, i will consider buying your's . I guess, we can fit any power plant in the car ? K24 ?
Thanks for following, Yes you should be able to fit a K24. If you are interested I can put a model engine bay together just to see what kind of space there is.
Great job
Thanks!
Any link of software puchase
Yes the software is available here: armaautomotive.com/build/ads.php. Let me know if you have any questions.
@@ArmaAutomotive what is windows version recomendation and which java package I should install to run the software
Yes thanks for the correction. DDR is us based. I’m looking forward to seeing the f9 hope it is available soon!
Factory5 is also no longer taking new orders on GTM's the last I had heard and has a front engine car in development, and the DDR I think is based out of Miami Florida! Im excited to see some finalized interior pictures of the car as well as weight figures. With the new tracks in BC and potential track days im really hoping to build a closed cockpit weekend car.
Thanks for following. Hopefully we will have the prototype on the road in a few months.
That's a really good looking car.
Thanks! our production body has been improved also. This model design was set a couple years ago.
What the vehicle specs and details.
More details can be found at armaautomotive.com. We will be selling a tube frame chassis, body panels, windshield and some electronics. The engine in the prototype is an LS3 crate motor from chevy with 480HP. The roof height is 48" and the width is 79".
Weight ?
What software?
We are using Mach3 for control software and our CAD/CAM software Arma Design Studio for part modelling.
The CAD/CAM software can be downloaded here: armaautomotive.com/build/ads.php
hey Jon i love what your doing with the car project , Im building a replica my self but Im having a difficulty with my 3Dmodel to slice or section to make a woodenbuck if you have any solutions contact me please :)
Hey feel free to email of call on this issue. There are several options. I also started with a wood ribbed buck but decided to switch to a foam core buck machined with a CNC router. We are making a 5 Axis router and we could look into making some parts as an option. For generating the buck our ADS cad application might be able to cut ribbed sheets using the boolean modelling tools to cut out a body mesh from a rib panel and then export the section to GCode for CNC routing or paper print for manual cutting.
Hello, can I make a trailer with a splash screen for you, do you need for the channel??gnn___mmu
Sure
Nice video ;)
Thanks 😁
