Drawn to Life song; The End - with lyrics
Просмотров 172 тыс.15 лет назад
PINK: Female vocals YELLOW: Male vocals ORANGE: Duet For those who arent aware, Drawn to Life is a Nintendo DS game about saving a village, populated by these way cute little puppy/elf thingies called raposa. In this game, you basically design everything, including the hero, who you play as. Two of the main characters featured in this game are Mari and Jowee, best friends, who love each other. ...
You gotta love when a game has songs that you usually never hear in games, emotional songs are usually in sad movies/tv but in games they aren't that common & its nice when they do it.
Still here😢
the way ive been coming back to this video every now and then since they posted it lmao
2024 gang where ya at? 🥲
Still here almost 2024
At the end of the cutscene when your hero walks off screen with the mayor's spirit, this was one of the early games that made me sit after I finished it in silence for a few minutes
F's in chat for anyone who played this game as a kid and came out emotionally damaged like I did.
I cant believe this throw away game that i never cared to play as a child, has a song like this that can put me in feels everytime
This song hits where it hurts im glad I found it again
My favorite line in the song is "what if I told you the stars, he drew them only for you?" I don't know why.
It probably hit you in the feels...
Mine is "what if I can't dream, because I'm dreaming of you"
This series is a masterpiece of storytelling... And Jowee x Mari is definitely the best example of sibling character development in gaming period. These games taught me to cherish every living thing, and be grateful that you exist. As well as to always believe in miracles, and never give up, no matter how bad an event (such a loved one's death) can be. As long as there is life, there is a creator watching over you. And even when the creator's world vanishes... With all the beautiful flora, scenery, and living things presumebly gone, just think, dream, or escape from reality, or believe to keep your eternal flame burning. These games are the best hidden gems on the DS and replaying them recently as an adult taught me these things and I ended up tearing up at both endings 😭😇💜 Sorry Two Realms, but you're nothing compared to the first two holy grails of gaming. Here's to hoping these acheive cult status someday.
Fun fact: You're lying if you say you didn't feel anything listening to this and watching the credits

God they really don't make games like they used to
Nope

DRAWN TO LIFE: TWO REALMS HAS JUST BEEN ANNOUNCED EVERYONE THIS IS NOT THE END
FUCK YEAH!
Beat this game again for the first time in.... man, I don't even know how long. While the problems this game has are becoming more obvious as I grow up (mainly the fact that you have to draw so many things that are only used for one level), the game has way too much effort put into it for me to dislike. It's still charming, it has great sprite work, the soundtrack is AMAZING, the story is enjoyable, I love the characters, and this game is still a solid adventure for what it is. It's good stuff, if flawed. Overall, I had a lot of fun beating Wilfre as Sayori from Doki Doki Literature Club with Sora's keyblade. I mean, how can you hate a game that lets you do that?
This is not the end, indeed.
Here after Drawn to Life 3 was announced!
THERE'S ANOTHER GAME COMING OUT
"But these are my dreams and this is your place." Foreshadowing to the sequel
Just a 24 year old man crying at his desk at another attempt.
Picked up playing my DS again and finished the game so here I am listening to the song of feels on my bluetooth speaker.
Anyone still play the game? I do
Wow. This is from 11 years ago. All of these people who commented 11 years ago have grown up. This was such a great game. Who ever is reading, please stay safe.
Reminder that there are people who probably saw this at Walmart and thought it was low-effort DS shovelware
I remember being 11 and getting chills listening to this song and watching that ending scene every time. Some serious nostalgia!
2020 gang gang
Time to cry 😔
Anyone 2019
Me
After playing the whole game you really understand the lyrics and how they’re linked to the game 😞❤️
Played this game 10 years ago. This song came in my mind suddenly. I was a teenie later, now i am married and my daughter sleeps next to me, so strange. I bet the hardest feelings With 14 years so i thought 😅
I really want someone to find an instrumental to this. Perfect song to sing with someone. If anyone is still there, hit me up with that instrumental.
You mean the sheet music?
💖
I found that the games hit me so much harder when I play them one after another.
I beat the game like 20 times just to hear this song
This is my number 1 go to breakup song aka... today 😔😭💔💔💔
This song honestly makes me cry everytime!!! When it gets to the chorus im in bed crying ❤️❤️❤️
I was one of the folks over on Gamefaqs who tried working out the lyrics back in the day. I think the singers' native language isn't English, because to this day I'm not 100% sure. But I do have updated lyrics that I believe to be as close as humanly possible. Still not positive on the 'revised his words' bit but what the hell else could she be singing there? 'Against the rain' is wrong - you can hear Jowee sing the 'It' part very quickly before Mari joins in with 'begins to rain' - this took ages to hear right! As for the 'not sure/not unsure' difference, she's just extending the 'o' in 'not' - "I'm no-ot sure" and, due to the kind of tinny audio quality present on most versions of the song, plus the background singer coming in, it sounds like 'unsure' instead. I also think it still sounds like the first line sounds like "It brought a rain" (or maybe 'it brought a ray of shine') instead of "you brought the rain." Oh well. Unless we get confirmation from the team responsible for the lyrics, here's the (hopefully) correct version of them: You brought the rain and shine into my life I know you got to leave, but I'm not surprised What's the use? Any way, I lose, and there's nothing I can do Wanna know the truth? (Yeah, I do...) I'm already missing you... And is this really worth saving if this can't work anymore? And I can see you don't believe, so you'll pack up and leave I can't change it... This is just the way it is What if I revise his words deep into my soul? What if I see her smile, would it make me crave her more? What if I heard his voice and it gave me no other choice than to pray? From day to day I wonder I'm not sure Not quite certain of Where these problems came from I'm not sure Not quite certain of Why I'm feeling so drawn... Just because it always was and it will always be this way It works because all my love makes for a shining, shining day It begins to rain, you feel the change, I start to wonder if I'm ever going to see you again... Then she tells me this is not the end. Drawn to the smile on your face But these are my dreams and this is your place If that's what you want, it's not what I need, I'm high and dry and you're at sea Listen, please... (I'm listening...) You color ever breath I breathe 'Cause if everything changes... Will this work anymore? And I can see you don't believe as I'm ready to leave We can't change this (No...) Can we save this? What if I told you the stars, he drew them only for you? What if I can't dream, 'cause I'm dreaming of you? What have I got to lose if I never, ever reach the end of you? I guess we'll find out soon I'm not sure Not quite certain of Where these problems came from I'm not sure Not quite certain of Why I'm feeling so drawn to a life with you... Just because it always was and it will always be this way It works because all my love makes for a shining, shining day It begins to rain, you feel the change, I start to wonder if I'm ever going to see you again... Then he tells me this is not the end...
I've always ALWAYS had these questions in mind, and for such a long time too.... Seriously thank you so much for taking your time to listen so carefully and figuring out the closest possible lyrics.... I've listened to this quite a lot too, but I couldn't make the lyrics out as perfectly as you did, because I'm not a native English speaker.... Your corrections make so much sense! Thanks so much!!
This song is so stupid but yet I still feel the feels mainly due to the ending of one of my favourite games.... Spongebob Drawn To Life
My entire childhood dog was put down 3 months ago, and this song was in my head throughout the entire last week of her life for some reason. I remember the first thing I touched when my family first took her home was her ears...and it was the last. I had never felt heartbreak in my entire life until it was her time to go. She had a long, happy life. The line in this song 'this is not the end' hits me incredibly hard and I still mourn and cry every time I hear this song. I can't think about Drawn To Life without associating my dog's life into it. This would have been her memorial song if I had the choice. Rest In Peace, and I'll see you on the other side.
After the Mayor died, I cried. After beating that dang scorpion and Wilfre, I felt so proud. This song is so beautiful. I'll admit the very end made me tear up when Jowee and Mari met again, while the Hero and the Mayor look at them. This was the first (or one of the first) games I ever played. This game was the best game I've ever played and it's still one of the best. When I got the sequel, I still teared up a little at the credits song but the first made me tear up more. This game is very underrated compared to games like Sonic, Mario, etc.
I really liked this song, even when I was a kid I thought these two should go together, they've got such a lovely relationship. I cried at this song a bit too, because I thought that Jowee was gone forever. The sad choir at the part where they replay the Mayor's death also made me cry, but then again, who DIDN'T cry at that part?
Who’s chopping Onions?
i just found this game on my sisters ds when i was 7 here i am 10 years old returning to the game and now im crying its bringing back so many memories i remember when i was a kid and finished the game i was crying and then the next chapter ending the twist made me rage quit cuz i had no idea wtf was happening now im returning and i hate my self for rage quitting cuz i now understand the shit im so sad like it brought back memories of me as a little kid to be fair im still a kid but like i was like 6 or 7 and its bringing back memories of how fun life was when i was little and just my life is falling apart my mom went crazy she has some kinda disease in her brain or something my mom and dad have been fighting left and right i just wish things could be back to normal who knew re playing a game would make me so sad (also this comment might not make sense but to be fair im 10)
3 years ago ok bozo
This song never fails to make me cry my eyes out.
Those beeps mean a whole lot more coming back to this after having known the serie's ending for a little while... Chills... And they say it was a cop out ending
