Back in the good ol days.. if you ate and drank somewhere and could not pay the bill.. and you was a dude.. they either made you wash dishes and pots and pans in the back or mop and sweep floors for hours.. until you worked off the debt.. or sometimes they would take you out back or down to the basement.. beat your face in.. and give you "the business" and work you over.. you know.. f_ck you up real good.. and get their money back out of you in blood. Some restaurant and bar owners had what they called "The Chair" - reserved especially for those who would try to "Dine & Dash" or those who could not pay their tabs. The chair was a wooden chair with a hole cut out in the seat.. and they would strip your pants and underwear off and sit you down on the seat so that your balls would hang down through the hole.. and then they would take pool balls from the pool table and put them inside gym socks.. and take turns swinging and bashing your defenseless and unprotected nutsack hanging there underneath the chair.
