Trip to Canada - Part 1 (Vancouver)
A 12 day trip to Canada (Vancouver & Vancouver Island in British Columbia (BC), Jasper & Banff in Alberta) to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Trip was tailor-made for us by Lucy Butler, Canada Specialist, of Audley Travel (www.audleytravel.com).
Part 1 focuses on our first three days in Vancouver, including Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge, the Rainforest, Downtown Vancouver and Gastown - Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood and the birthplace of the city - and home to the Gastown Steam Clock.
Look out for Part 2 which will focus on Vancouver Island including Butchart Gardens and our Whale Watching & Wildlife Boat Trip.

Walking the Imbros Gorge - August 2022

Having walked the Samaria Gorge in July 2015 we thought we'd try the Imbros Gorge 7 years later. It's a shorter gorge walk but it is really lovely and to think that this gorge was used by Allied Soldiers to retreat during World War 2 to Chora Sfakion where they were evacuated in May 2041 !

We spent five days in Suffolk staying at Thorpeness on the coast, visiting Aldeburgh; the RSPB Reserve at Minsmere; Southwold to the north; Sutton Hoo (the location for the film "The Dig") where an Anglo-Saxon burial ship was excavated, and Woodbridge nearby. A lovely Nature Reserve - far bigger and more interesting than we were expecting - on the outskirts of Bordon, Hampshire. We walked for over an hour and covered just under 5km. In late November most of the beautiful Autumn leaves had fallen to the ground creating a lovely coppery blanket.

Yes I often mix pictures (with effects) and video together. I like to use video where there is movement or sound (e.g. waterfalls, seaside) but for static scenes I think pictures work well.
