The Annapurna Devi Foundation is a registered private trust founded in the year 2015 by Annapurna Devi. Its objectives include: promotion of Indian classical music, support to poor musicians, preserving the musical heritage of the Maihar Senia gharana of music and commemorating the work of her father and Guru, Acharya Baba Allauddin Khan-sahib.

Excellent Rendition
A great way to honour a great musician. Jaijaiwanti played by Panditji is superb & has the nuances of Shajahanpur (Bishnupur?) Gharana.
Shahjahanpur ghar is the oldest sarod gharana, with no relation whatsoever with the bishnupur gharana, which to my knowledge does not have a sarod repertoire.
This is raag Shudh Nat
And jaijaiwanti

Misra Kafi reminds me that back gound music of Khudito pashan only I missed a sitarist equivalant to Pt. Nikhil Banerjee
Really feeling lucky to attend the program of Annapurna Devi Foundation in You Tube also the artists like Pt Bikram Ghosh and the upcoming Shiraz Ali Khan are amazing Shiraz is a true representative of Baba Alauddin Khan .

I was present in this particular concert. I am a Maihar fan while it comes to both sarode and sitar. Sarode is undoubtedly my most favourite. I wanted to learn this instrument since long. This particular jaijaiwanti made me so involved that I took the decision of learning sarode from Guru Pandit Narendranath Dhar and met him at his house. I will never forget this incident. This concert has given me such a great present that I would always be so grateful to its organizers. And my sarode is being made. 😊🏵️
