This kid is about the same age as me and this ad is burned into my memory - usually from Saturday morning cartoons. There's something so nice and innocent and unpretentious about this ad. So well done.

Wow! Great to see early sci-fi cons. I went quite a few sci-fi cons in the 1990s in Chicago. I was lucky because I worked at the Hilton hotel where a lot of the cons happened. I was free to go wherever I wanted...I even was there for some of the 1st Anime Centrals. After that I moved to Tokyo for 9 years. I missed the sci-fi cons, but lived in Tokyo. I was lucky.
