Can the Fendt 516 handle the two Malone mowers
First video of yours ive seen. Thumbs up and Subscribed! Rew up on a dairy farm in West Cork. Now living in Mississippi working in mining.
Hi Pat, if you've cash handy upgrade. If you have to go the route of monthly payments I don't know. It all depends on your bale count and by the sounds of it you are ambitious to grow the business. You mentioned trading the 550 for a Fusion. Look at all the options turn it up side down, but be wary of shiny metal disease and finance companies.
How about buying a hs2000 and attaching it onto the 5500? You will have the best of both worlds. You will get two balers to every wrapper so keeps the payments lower and still have the best of both worlds.
I would be trading her in if it was mine. and maybe try a Kuhn..
i’d recommend taking a look at a kuhn half of people trading in fusions go for a kuhn and haven’t a good word for the fusion compared to the kuhn
Do you do wrapping in the one location as opposed to wrapping with the fusion and if so does this work cost more?
I think u should thing about the kuhn fbp3135 combi with the 2 750 mill rolls of plastic as its cheaper way of nrf and the 3d wrapping also saves wrap the intergal rotor auger is a massive job with a great intake we run a standerd kuhn baler wouldn't change it plus john dolan in balidine is a pure gental man to deal with for kuhn
You are in the same place we were last year. My 3 had 75K on the clock and we had thrown some money at it to get there. For some reason that one needed the roller you pointed at every other year! The last one costing double as it was an upgrade (55mm shaft and bearings plus housing) and I had replaced everything in the pickup reel. Ours wasn’t a plus and we had a few customers pushing for film binding so we went for it. Decided on a new 4 plus with cam less pickup and 1000 speed box. It’s without doubt the best Fusion we’ve had (it’s our 7th) and is so nice to use. The pickup is the biggest upgrade. I’ve had a low bale count year this year at 10.5K but it’s worked flawlessly on everything I’ve baled. The intake is superb also. Biggest difference when chopping in big heavy or lumpy swaths run rings round the old 3. Those gearbox end bearings you pointed at that you keep replacing have been massively improved to double row jobs and the rotor shaft and bearings are bigger amongst dozens of smaller upgrades. It’s a great machine. Worst thing of course is the £1250 going out every month now it’s sitting in the shed doing nothing until May! Very big decision indeed.
big money for fiew monts work
New fusion 4 will take 30 foots, is a big time saver! Clean baler that!
Have a fusion 3 standard 2017 and it takes 30fts all year round 1st 2nd cut no problem
I would go with plan B
Time to give father phil a phone call
Kuhn fast bale 👌
You're thinking like MrCVX buddy
David The baler is a credit to you. No scratches on the panels and in great mechanical shape. And it puts on barell rap . It will be no problem sell it .
money always makes your mind 😊
Good stuff
How come you didn't go for too new newer models off deutz over your 820 n new fendt as you 🤔 to older model deutz s lovely to classic s they are now to sum condition too them 😀 lad anyway only curious as u started with too older deutz grate video s as always n time for a demo from clarke s lovely t5 lad lol merry Christmas 🎅 u n family kind regards from Mr valtra South east 😀
Ya a lot of people asked me the same thing, I spent a couple of seasons driving fendt in New Zealand so just got a liking to them, also a good friend of mine is a fendt mechanic and advised me on witch ones to buy, happy Christmas 🎅
@CourtneyBrothersContracting keep away from 828 anyway scrap do the 820 is bullet prof tractor s
You have 2 fine sheds there. Would love to have the pair of them
Thank you 👍
Hope all is well! What size is the workshop shed seems a great size shed for a workshop cheers
All is good thanks, it’s 60’ by 40’ with 14’ eve! It’s a nice size to be fair, plenty of floor space.
Great to see the machines well maintained, with what things cost now you'd be well paid for your time. Looking forward to seeing the Hymac up close.
Would you ever consider painting the workshed floor.
I was thinking about it when I built the shed first but I’m not sure if the paint would stand upto the digger and hopper tracking around, I might be wrong tho?
Still for sale ? Thanks
Yes, will be putting up a DoneDeal add in the next few days
Washing up liquid and hot water will scrub the oil off
Thanks for the tip, must give it a try 👍
What's up with the hymac?
Did u look into getting a Load Sencing Kit for it. Don’t like tat high revs constant pumping. Other manufacturers r doing it. Well Ware doh 👍
Yes Iv an old load sencing block in the shed and I’ll have a go at putting that on it,
Great video.. nice agitator. Nice addition them hydraulics on it
Thanks 👍
When you’re doing something with the lay flat pipe will you video it?
Yes will do 👍
Would u not rather the normal agitator is it not a pain having to get out and put on pto and take it off the whole time
He doesn’t have to, shaft just off presumably because it’s new
Yes I’ll be able to leave the shaft on full time, just hanging there from new
Can you do a video on how you rate the deutz tractor?
And some lovely classics there 820 n deutz s n jd to u had before in shed lovely gear ⚙️ all it 😀
So we not only one to put slurry tankers in shed lol ur first after 😢our selves putting slurry tanker in good job 👏 grate see more than us does it no one else around us put them in kind regards from Mr valtra wexford
Magnet mounts on go pros are a great job, get one with a good strong magnet though
I mix diesel with 90 gear oil for spraying machines I find it good. I bought an oiling gun for the airline. You have a great yard of quality gear..
Can we get an indepth tour of the workshop?
Yes I’ll get on that 👍
Some lads be hammering the shaft all day 😂 looking forward to the Hymac videos 👍
What lights are you using in the shed? Looking to put some in ours similar sized but not sure what to go for
Just using 3 hibay lights in that shed, not sure what wattage they are but there plenty good enough for that shed, if you will be working in the shed I’d recommend you put lights on the side as well
Immaculate machinery. I used to drive a Deutz 6.08 agro star 4 wheel drive tractor back in the 90s, lovely tractor to drive
😉
Thanks Patrick, great vid. Now how do you switch on the coffee machine? 🤔
The Malone mowers look sweet and well designed . I wouldn’t mind a run out on them myself on that 820 , both Fendts you have there are mint 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
How’s it going! Great videos. You said there that you might spray some oil on some of the machines over the winter. I’ve a bale trailer and muck spreader that unfortunately has to be out for the winter. Can you suggest something to spray on them to stop them from rusting?
Ya I do usually end up with a few bits left outside as well, I’d say if you spayed on oil or maybe brush on a heavy oil with a paint brush it would last most of the winter before the rain washes it off
Oil and diesel mix in a little pressure sprayer. I do it with all my kit , even stuff that’s in sheds, they will attract dust like nothing else but I have kit with paintwork as good as the day it left the dealership
@@CourtneyBrothersContracting ok great! Thanks for the reply and the information👍
@@PaddyGun thanks for the information. Will give it a go at the weekend👍
Well this is tadhg mulvey here there is a man in Longford that is good at starters and alternators because my dad rip we used to bring it to the man in Longford for the digger we had and I had a jeep with starter problem years ago and he is very good at them I just wanted to let you know about him
That’s for that Tadhg 👍
Ollie must be looking for work 😂
@@liamburns3713 dodging work I am 🤣🤣
Ye have the best of gear lads , and it’s nice seeing it looked after so well 👌 it’s a credit to ye building up the business like that in such a short space of time . Just an idea for ye but would ye consider putting up 2 small floodlights on the workshop and 2 small floodlights on the machinery shed over the wash bay you’d have zero shadows then it’d be like daylight when washing in the evening
Thanks Ollie👍ya that’s not a bad idea, just t might be the way to go, with only one or two lights there would be a lot of shadows!
Optional Ford or Perkins straight six cylinder motor, We used them to empty slurry pits throughout the 1970/80’s for our agricultural contracting services 🇬🇧🇮🇪.
Great, well done. Thanks
What's up with the hymac 580c?
Nice video. You're a Milwaukee man I see.
Well this is tadhg mulvey here I’m originally from Drumshanbo Co. Leitrim where the Drumshanbo gunpowder gin is being produced and you should visit it and I’m from a farming background and I have worked with a contractor and I have done everything in agricultural contracting and would you know anyone that is looking for a tractor driver because I have done from silage to slurry and everything else and I have to say you are very good and very clear on speaking and the video are savage
What is your name if you don’t mind me asking you
Great demo video . The dash on the latest generation looks unreal 👌. Unbelievable comfort I’d imagine doing a long day in one versus a day in a old school tractor
