Hailey Brinnel is a trombonist, vocalist, and educator based in Philadelphia. At the age of 12 she began performing throughout New England with her father Dave Brinnel. She has now performed at prestigious venues around the world, having played with artists such as Sherrie Maricle and the DIVA Jazz Orchestra, Ingrid Jensen, Anat Cohen, and Charles Neville. She played with The DIVA Jazz Orchestra as part of the national tour of the Maurice Hines' off-Broadway production "Tappin' Thru Life". Brinnel was a finalist in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. She is an Outside in Music and B.A.C Artist.
Brinnel currently leads multiple groups ranging from trio to sextet, which collectively focus on bringing back old favorites and forgotten gems of early 20th century Jazz through her original arrangements. Her debut album "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" I was released in 2021. Brinnel is currently on faculty at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
