Not an IU Fan but I remember watching this when I was growing up before IU Games! It is just as much as a CLASSIC right beside the Opening for Purdue Basketball with the Tuba Player!

It’s so emotional to now look back on this and the IU intro with the grandmotherly janitor singing their fight song. I’m now 52 and was born and raised in Madison, Indiana. I have so many great memories of growing up following at IU, Purdue, Louisville and Kentucky basketball. Many people in Madison followed the other three, but I also followed Purdue because my mom and both of her brothers went there. I especially loved watching with my maternal grandparents because they got so animated and always believed that the officials were corrupt against Purdue. I so much miss those days when college basketball ruled; when we stopped whatever we did to watch our favorite teams, the games were the biggest topic of conversation at work and school the next day, and the NCAA tournament was to us what the Super Bowl was to much of the country. It was such a special time.

Reminds me of the blustery, snow whipped evenings of a Northern Indiana winter's past. Fireplace stoked up with a blazing warmth, popçorn bowls over full, the games about to start, here comes the song. Pre-tech bliss at the tail end of the cold war, these are the best years I will ever remember.

This reeks of ignorance and the dialogue is hauntingly similar to advertisements created in the 1950's. Way to go State Farm for reinforcing sex and gender stereotypes, making a baby girl seem like a troublesome burden, and showing how unmanly you are to be considered if you could possibly enjoy childs play with your daughter.
