    The spilt chassis stems from Mainline Model Railways era. Mainline wagons and coaches are great their locomotives look the part but the motor is poor. Pailtoy Mainline's owner made' Action Man' figures they had the detail right but had no understanding on the mechanics notable the spilt axles been the other fault with them best left alone. Bachmann later acquired Mainline tooling kept the spilt chassis for a time but placed better motors in them. eBay is a mixed bag in my experience much prefer to see what I am buying new model prices have gone out of reality.

      😄 Thanks for the comment. It made me laugh. I’m always amazed how many locos are selling second hand everyday. But, supply isn’t bringing the price down. I know it’s not easy to use “free” backing music, but at least you avoided heavy metal or terrible electronic covers! One plea, a tripod or gadget to strap the camera to your body, and slower panning would lift the quality to the next level. I was away, but it’s great to see the Leigh exhibition going from strength to strength, giving Wigan (which will always be the top town of course 😉) a run for its money. Nice beginnings my friend. May I ask If you are using DCC or DC and why that choice?

    • @TreuddynJunction
      @TreuddynJunction Год назад

      Thank you for your question. I’ve opted for DCC (Digital Command Control) both for my locomotives and layout. The reason behind this choice is rooted in my passion for the hobby. Back when I was younger, I had a Hornby train set, but it had its limitations. With DCC, the possibilities in model trains expands tremendously. One of the key advantages is the ability to control multiple locomotives independently on the same track. This versatility greatly enhances the realism and enjoyment of running a model railway. Moreover, my long-term goal is to integrate computer control into my layout, and DCC sets the foundation for achieving that.

    You’re not going to like the suggestion but you need to take the curve out and possibly move the right point further to the right. Can you swap the y point with the left hand point leading to the main blue line? You’ll also need to re-lay the loco yard. It’s not a quick fix but if you do it now it won’t cause headaches later. Wow, much better, I only saw one jump in the editing. I think on the layout that you should give the station more room with a longer platform, say about one carriage. Well done.

      Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad you noticed the improvements in the editing. Your suggestion about extending the station platform makes a lot of sense, and I appreciate the idea of adding more room. I’ll definitely consider your input as I continue to refine the layout. Thanks again for watching and for your valuable input!
