    Is there a difference between the 2 brands Vilene Decovil vs Pellon Decovil? Or are they the same thing but Pellon is just the brand more accessible in the US? I know they each have their light and heavy versions but I'm seeing some ppl use the Vilene which has a brownish color and then others use Pellon which is lighter and I'm confused on if one is better than the other.

I don't have any comparable samples of the Pellon, so it would be down to the individual consumer on preference. Are you looking for a stockist of Vlieseline Decovil? Or, may I offer you any guidance for selecting an suitable interlining for a specific project?

    If I have to fix it on faux leather, I can't fuse it from the fabric side, right? How do you advise I handle it?

    • @VlieselineUK
      @VlieselineUK Год назад

      Great question! If you're concerned about the main fabric being damaged in the fusing process you can work with the Vlieseline IRON On pressing cloth www.vlieseline.com/Products/Specialities/Iron%20On However, as you say, working with materials like faux leather you may prefer to avoid pressing from that side. You can work with the fusible product -Style-Vil or Style-Vil Fix uppermost. As the heat from iron will have to penetrate through the interlining, you may find that you need to take more time to work over the sections to fuse. Using IRON On pressing cloth will help to protect your project.

      Hello - The grid lines are marked in inches, therefore if you were to work with fabrics cut to 1 in square they would product 1/2 in finished square after the 1/4 seam allowance.
