That was exactly the reaction I was expecting from you, Emma's gone deep into your heart, and that was a performance to beat all other performances, and it's the result of her spending the last year touring with Andre, thrilling every audience that she sings for, getting standing ovations with every performance, but it's so much better than that, while she's been performing, she's also been watching, listening and learning, and when you learn from the cream of the cream, that has an effect, and we've just seen the result of all that experience, Emma is now able to deliver performances that put so many other supposed singers into the shade, and she does it despite only being free to perform for 2 hours a day maximum, she can be off the pumps for that length of time, but from what we've been seeing over the last year, depending on the songs she's singing, she doesn't have the stamina to deliver concert length shows. For me, her role with Andre, where she sings one or two songs as part of a much larger show is the best place for her at the moment, and we just have to hope that her foundation can find a treatment or even better a cure that will free her from the feeding pump regime, she very rarely says anything about the pressures it puts her under, but while on holiday recently in Portugal, she did let slip that she was struggling, she'd been swimming, and as a result, she ended up having to use her wheelchair for a while, she had effectively run out of reserves, it's not evident when she's on stage dressed for a performance, but when you see her at things like rehearsals, it becomes very much more evident that even now, she's still tiny, 1 Mtr 50, and a little over 50 Kgs, so there's very little in the way of reserves in that frame, it amazes me that in recent months, she's found the strength and power to deliver incredible belter top notes, and at the same time, sustain them for as long as 17 seconds, and she makes it look so effortless, when the reality is that a performance like that takes a huge amount out of her, but she loves doing it, she's said it on a number of interviews, singing is her therapy, and it gives her a massive lift mentally, you can see it in the way she finished that performance, she didn't just lower that raised hand, she brought it down with real power, real emphasis, effectively, in the same way as she leads when singing with Andre, she is the conductor, and is giving the lead to everyone else, and it's an indication of her absolute class as a performer, a few weeks ago, when Dancing on the Stars came out, she massively moved the bar that defines perfection so much higher, and then, having moved the bar, she gave us a gold medal performance that cleared that bar with space to spare. This song was her song for this year's concerts in Maastricht, and it's stunning, so powerful, as are the words she spoke. You will enjoy this one. ruclips.net/video/Ll1uR_HUOP8/видео.html In 15 years of watching Andre Rieu, I've never known him let a performer speak in the way Emma did before she sang a note, her introduction was so clear, so positive, so powerful, not just in terms of what she said, but also in the way she said it, you'd never think that English is her third language, she has absolutely mastered so much of things like pauses for effect, emphasis on some words, and at the end, that subtle hesitation before she says so powerfully, 'I want to be the girl that's,,,,,Dancing on the Stars', and with that, she had that entire audience of 12,500 in the palm of her hand, and then, not long into the song, she smiles as she's singing, as much as to say, 'Yeah, I know exactly what's coming, and you don't', and then BANG, several times through the song, she delivers what can best be described as a vocal explosion, which blows everyone away, and it devastates everything within earshot, her voice has clearly improved and matured to the point where she can do this so well, and so beautifully, the challenge now will be for Andre and Emma to find songs that will allow her to continue to expand and develop her skills, she's not yet close to peaking, there's more and better to come, and it's going to be so good watching it happen, and seeing her in action where ever she performs, in recent weeks with Dancing, and again with the Disney performance, she finished them out with a huge top note, belted with massive power, and then sustained for up to 17 seconds, that's some achievement for her to do, and she does it so well. Another Disney song, this time recorded at home in her own small studio, she did a cover of a film song, from The little Mermaid, the song 'Part of your world', where Ariel is expressing a desperate desire to be free, to escape from the water and walk on land, a complete change of life circumstances, and of course, that resonated with Emma, because of her own life situation, she'd like nothing better than to be free of the pumps and the weakness that she suffers as a result of the issues caused by gastroparesis, to be free to perform without limitations. ruclips.net/video/itxs-aNyRJY/видео.html Very different and again, rare with Andre, last Christmas, Emma did a stunning a cappela start to an old song, 'White Christmas', in a concert that was large, you could have heard a pin drop as Emma captivated the place with her introduction, before Andre introduced the orchestra, and then added in the soprano singers, and the Platin Tenors, building the whole thing into a classic Andre finish, with Emma absolutely prominent in it, The 'official version' is short, because Andre doesn't want to compromise his cinema show that's due out in December, there are audience captures that are longer, but they don't have the quality, I'll put both links in so that you can choose, it was another masterful performance by Emma, she clearly has ice in her veins when she walks on to that stage, no fear, no nerves, she is just READY to deliver whatever has been agreed, and hopefully, she will be continuing to do that in 2025. My closing comments are important, the only thing that can stop Emma now is her health, and that's why I keep repeating my appeal to everyone listening or reading, if at all possible, please make a (regular) donation to Emma's foundation, who are working to find better treatments, or ideally, a cure for the illness that at the moment has no cure, and also can have devastating implications for sufferers, many of whom have taken their own lives as a result of the intense pressure and stress that the discipline of living with gastroparesis imposes on them. I know from recent social media posts, she still finds the unrelenting daily limitations of tube feeding incredibly hard to cope with at times, despite that she's loving the singing with Andre, which she regards as her therapy. She posted some heart breaking photos and comments from her recent holiday in Portugal, having to use her wheelchair after a time swimming, even then, at a time when the family were relaxing and enjoying a break away from their normal lives, Emma had no relief, no escape from the mental and physical pain of having to live with the numbing discipline of the 22 hours every day with the pumps attached to her, her ongoing lack of stamina that hugely limits and impacts on her life and desire to be free, and she rarely talks about the physical pain that so often is a side effect of the failure of her stomach to properly process the contents, or the indescribable pain of the procedure to replace her feeding tubes, which she endures every 5 months, without anaesthetic, to avoid any risk of damage to her voice. Her most recent change of stoma and feeding tubes (Her Mickey button) happened only 3 days before the first Vrijthof concert In Maastricht in July, and it went wrong, and took well over an hour compared to the normal 20 to 30 minutes, a video of the rehearsals the next day made it very evident that she was still suffering, she had to wear a winter coat to keep warm, and this procedure has to happen every 5 months. Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl Please, if at all possible, join me in making a (regular) contribution to her foundation, to enable them to help patients like Emma, and research this awful disease that has affected her from birth, and required her to be tied to the pumps and feeding tubes since she was 9 MONTHS old, for 22 hours a day, hopefully, the work of her foundation will find a cure. Please also be very careful if you post or respond to anything from Emma on social media, her increased visibility has resulted in significant numbers of bad actors creating fake accounts, the ONLY valid web site that supports Emma and others like her is the gastrostars site. One of the main people in Gastrostars is a surgeon who has a lot of experience in treating gastroparesis, and she is not only a surgeon, but also suffers from the same disease herself, to the extent that as a result of her condition worsening, she's had to leave her role in the hospital, and she is now dedicated to the foundation, and working to help find possible new treatments, or even better the cure that will free people like Emma to live a more normal life, rather than be tied to the feeding pumps for so many hours every day. It will be so good if the work of Emma's foundation can lead to a better treatment, or even a cure, which will free her to do more singing, and it may be people here who make that possible.

I love and hate this song at the same time. I whent on a date when i was 16 and we sat at the trainstation for 4 hours just talking and this song came on like 20 (probably 10) times, and i hate this song becous i was to young to realize that the girl infront of me was the love of my life, and i love the song becous it reminds me of her. The video you review has some misinformation. Morrissette did not win the Philippine version of The Voice in 2013--she was eliminated in the round of 16 and did not make the top 8.

Although it doesn't really demonstrate her range of styles and vocal tones and resonances, storytelling ability, and emotional delivery in this clip, you should research more of Jona Viray (1:18). In my opinion she is the best singer in the Philippines.
