John Williams - Anakin's Betrayal
I orchestrated a version of John Williams's "Anakin's Betrayal" from "Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, with an added passage from the Royal Albert Hall Organ.
Even though it is from Episode III, I chose this cover photo because it inspired the voicing of the orchestration.
It was heavily inspired by the 1 Corinthians 13:11.
"When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put away childish things".
Made purely for recreational and non-commercial purposes.
Original Composer: John Williams
Arrangement, Production: Jôvan Howell

Dan Forrest: Requiem for the Living: Encore: Non Nobis, Domine
Просмотров 2317 месяцев назад
The final flourish of the 'Requiem for the Living' orchestration, "Non Nobis, Domine" (Not to us, O Lord), transcends its brevity. Its lineage stretches back centuries, woven into the fabric of religious tradition. Originally found in the Psalms (Psalm 115:1), it expresses a core principle: attributing success and glory to God, not oneself. It finalises the Requiem's shift in focus. While prece...
Dan Forrest: Requiem for the Living: Movement V: Lux Aeterna
Просмотров 2337 месяцев назад
This is the fifth and final movement of my 'Requiem for the Living' orchestration. Immediately following the Sanctus, as the culmination of the entire narrative, the "Lux Aeterna" text is a poignant prayer woven into the rich tapestry of the Requiem Mass. While its exact origin remains a mystery, the Requiem liturgy itself developed gradually over centuries. By the 8th or 9th century, core pray...
Dan Forrest: Requiem for the Living: Movement IV: Sanctus
Просмотров 73610 месяцев назад
This is the fourth movement of my orchestration of Dan Forrest's 'Requiem for the Living'. In this Requiem, the Sanctus and Agnus Dei are swapped from their traditional order, as Dan Forrest felt it was not appropriate to proclaim 'Holy is the Lord' prior to a plea to Christ for deliverance. The Sanctus became a central feature of Eucharistic Prayer of both Eastern and Western churches pre-400A...
Dan Forrest: Requiem for the Living: Movement III: Agnus Dei
Просмотров 52811 месяцев назад
This is the third movement of my arrangement and performance of Dan Forrest's 'Requiem for the Living'. The Agnus Dei is traditionally a designation of Jesus Christ, a Latin chant, within liturgical Church music, based on John 1:29. In Dan's Requiem, the respective Sanctus and Agnus Dei are swapped from their traditional orders of movement. The Agnus Dei stands, therefore at the centre of this ...
Dan Forrest: Requiem for the Living: Movement II: Vanitas Vanitatum
Просмотров 306Год назад
This is the virtual performance; second movement of my 'Requiem for the Living' orchestration, entitled 'Vanitas Vanitatum', as per the original. It follows from the first movement, but deals more potently with the vanity of existence itself. It is a departure from the traditional liturgical text, a personal addition of Forrest. It is intended to portray human earthly suffering, referencing Ecc...
Dan Forrest: Requiem for the Living: Movement I: Introit - Kyrie
Просмотров 836Год назад
This is the first movement of my full symphony orchestra and choir rendition of Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest, my favourite classical piece of all time. Requiem for the Living is a 5-movement, 40-minute piece, whereby Dan Forrest utilises and adapts the traditional Requiem text to address the subject of death. Whilst the Requiem Mass is typically a service pleading for the dead's admiss...

Hunger Games Suite (BBC Symphony Orchestra)
Просмотров 232Год назад
Took a break from my studies to complete this project, as I haven't had much time to do any music projects. Took a LONG time, and exporting was a nightmare. It's based on Ashton Gleckman's Hunger Games Suite that he posted nearly two years ago. I don't think I am nearly as good as him, but I wanted to do a virtual performance/production of it that sounded more like a symphonic performance as op...

Service & Sacrifice

This is a version of 'Service and Sacrifice' from the Legend of Korra series. I am fan of the Avatar franchise, and this is one of those scenes/pieces that makes viewers emotional. I wanted to see if I could make a version that was more suitable for a live action Hollywood trailer for the series or something. I did this piece because it is quite short and I have been struggling with writer's bl...
Agnus Dei [Adagio for Strings] arr. for Symph. Orchestra

This is a version of Samuel Barber's 'Adagio for Strings'/'Agnus Dei'. Lyrics: "Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi, miserere nobis. Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem." "Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace."

A composition of Nothing But the Blood of Jesus. Don't know what else to say about it. It also needs a choral section.

I made a version of Jesus Paid It All for orchestra. I think it needs a choir but I have yet to buy a decent choir sample library.
One Summer's Day

I did a studio orchestra cover of Joe Hisaishi's 'One Summer's Day' from "Spirited Away". It is a very beautiful piece that I heard really performed during a lunchtime concert at The Purcell School for Young Musicians. I hope you enjoy!

Very good
please tell me How To Get Legato in edirol orchestral
I didn't use Legato in Edirol Orchestral, I just used the Slow Strings articulation. If I want to increase the slur between notes, I would add reverb in the mix and increase the decay for the effect. I don't think it's a substitute for real legato articulation but it does the job okay.
@@jovanhowell1467 thank you
@@mixxtv1361 Always <3
Which library is used?
This was all done on Edirol's free all-in-one orchestra that I used to use. I don't really use it anymore, since I've replaced it with Spitfire.
Your Orchestration is amazing
Ah thanks man that means a lot!
Great Orchestration
What libraries did you use to make this?
I used BBC Symphony Orchestra Core and Spitfire LABS Choir

wow! Nice work! Did you use the midi files, or did you translate all the notes from the original score sheet?
I used the original score sheet, there are some changes to the percussion from the original sheet music though.
