That's actually a JS-440SX 1990-92 model ,you can tell because 550s have sponsons on the rear of the hull ,and they have their fire extinguisher compartment on the left side where as 440s have there's on the right.
Not true ..my 550 compartment is on the right side
+meanhog1 I’m talking about 550SX. The SX has their compartment on the left and have rear exhausts. JS440s produced from 1977-1989 had their compartments on the right ,and had a top left exhaust exit. The 1982-1985 JS550s had the same top left exhaust and right side compartment like the JS440s. But the 1986-1989 JS550s had their exhaust moved to the bottom right ,and the fire extinguisher compartment stayed on the right still. Then the 1990-1995 550SX had their exhaust moved to the back from factory ,and the fire extinguisher compartment was moved to the left. So what I’m saying is the ski in the video is a 1990-1992 440SX because they kept the right side compartment like the 1977-1989 JS440s ,expect they came with the rear exhaust from factory which replaced the top left exhaust exit. If this was a 550Sx ,it would have its fire extinguisher compartment on the right.
perfect mini lake for wakeskate!
lets fill the cooling system with sand particles , great idea!
Roy Reagan --- I guess you run your cooling water through a screen while you ride.. Maybe your new POS cant deal with a little sand.. Get a real ski if that's the case
Quick2000.. boy you're a genius.. I've been been riding stand-up skis for 30 years and ridden them in ankle deep water throughout the Florida keys. That ski has been with me for 20 years and is still running like a champ today.
So you have a jet ski and know nothing about them. Running the engine in ankle deep water. Brilliant!
your engine is now fucked....sand
1. Patch the hole 2. Go somewhere with water 3. Have fun!
Little jealous huh, do you know anything about these jetski's? I've been riding these for 30 years and never had a problem with sand, well besides cleaning hoses sometimes... Maybe you shouldn't believe everything you read, dumb@ss.In fact that video was taken 3 years ago and that ski is running like a champ.
awwsome
There's plenty of water to keep that thing cool idiot
no marine police!
U forgot ur life jacket
Oh oh, what did you hit with the jetski?
It has the original exhaust? very nice sound!!!
Just took it apart after 10 years and seems like all is well... Changed out a few parts including the engine plate which was toast and painted the engine "kermit green" that should make it run fast... :-) Should be back running by this coming Saturday...
good for your impeller system
Yeah thise grips are blue glue right now.. I hope to get her going this month so i can ride again!!!
thats when you know its been sitting..hahaha "my grips...look at this shit" haha
Yeah it's got a west coast pipe on it..
OMG WEAR A LIFE JACKET YOU COULD DROWN IN THAT ANKLE DEEP WATER -_-
Lol put that 260 on craigslist and see how many people ask it rofl! People are oblivious, that's why we're so predictable! How did your ski hold up to the salt water?
@victus401 I live on summerland... we have a few stand ups... over at sandy beach all the time.
@victus401 No it was more like 08 I think... I was living in Big Pine until 05 and it was a few years after I moved to Ramrod..
hahah ths is redic
cool vid check out mine
Cow KEY chanel. STOCK ISLAND. OR Mile marker 9 there is a public boat ramp on the side of US 1. Im a jetski mechanic and I can help you get it going once i get back home. Im working in MN right now. Check my videos to see me ski.
@SaltLife750 That would be great... I have to get it running again, battery is dead and grips are falling apart.. Where do you put in to get there?
Hell yeah. YOU SHOULD COME RIDE BOCA CHICA sand bar mile marker 10.
@SaltLife750 Ramrod Key
Ramrod Key
What key? Im from K Dub
haha nice dude. though i bet the cooling jackets had plenty of sand and mud in them after that. even if its deep enough for the hull, the pump sucks up shit and pumps it through the motor and exhaust. may wanna flush everything out really good. but i guess as long as it didnt overheat, its all good.
Not really, takes a little bit of practice but it's really not that bad...Fun though
those must be hard to ride
@SuperJetski1 No it was deep enough for the ski.. It's mostly mud in the empty lots...
Did you mess up the fiberglass?
@harryshissler no
@harryshissler Yeah nut only for like a Minute
It was funniest watching the Realtor across the flooded lot try to sell a house while I'm riding this across the canal in the opposite flooded lot.
lol thats how its done
looks fun! ;-)
