KSP: Expendable Starship launches 8 SpaceLink V1 satellites (Clean version)
An expendable Starship (a Starship without flaps, heat shield and header tanks) will launch
the first 8-stack of SpaceLink V1 communications satellites to Geostationary orbit.
Lift-off is expected to happen on October 3rd 2024, at 15:00 UTC.
Mission goals:
- Successful launch to orbit & payload deployment
- Successful Booster landing in the water (the algorithms for a catch are not ready yet)
- Ship burning up on reentry or at least Ship out of Geostationary orbit (in case of lack of fuel)

Project Epsilon is the development of a fully (100%) reusable rocket in KSP. The first stage ("Booster") will be caught on the launch tower with catch arms (the Captor System). The reason why Jupiter has rings is because it does have rings, but just small ones that are hard to see 0:23

The landing speed ("only" 20 m/s vertical shortly before crash, definitely below the part limits specified by the mod) wasn't the problem, it is just that KSP has a bug when landing on Jool (and the sun): You will fly down to -250 m and then your ship, Kerbals and everything else that in any way passes below this limit get destroyed no matter how fast you were before the disaster happened.
@@earthandmoon8525 True but no. I understand, that KSP has a Death Zone on the Sun and Jool, but with Mods, I had an Idea. I don't know if you have this, but there is a Mod/are mods that Add inflatable Ballons. With such Cargo you could, perhaps, float indefinitely in the Atmosphere as a kind of Stranded "space station".

Maybe I will upload it soon, it might need another few modifications until it is ready for release.
@@earthandmoon8525 I'll have a go at creating it once I'm at that stage of KSP. Right now, I'm at the "learning online about everything to do with rockets and procrastinating playing the game" stage, and still no mods apart from things that don't exactly affect gameplay that much.
