Is The Kawasaki Ninja 300 Still GOOD In 2024?

Reviewing the 2016 Ninja 300 If you’re thinking about getting into motorcycling or upgrading your current ride, the Ninja 300 might be just what you need. I know the bike is a bit dated at this point but it's still an amazing starting platform for beginner riders.

Big turn off for me with the Hima 450 is the airfilter- you have to take out the whole tank to access. Hima is also even more top heavy than this.
Something to keep inmind incase I review the Himalayan 450! Thank you so much for your insight! 😁
awesome first ride bro, new sub!!
Thank you! 😁
where in the philippines are you bro?
Best looking naked bike imo, absolutely love it. But I'm more a torqy 1 or 2 cylinder type of guy so probably won't buy one myself
@nulla9601 It is a very beautiful naked bike. They actually make a 125 and 300cc single cylinder version of this, which unfortunately was never released here, but it definitely is just as pretty as this big girl.
I have same bike, rarely ride it. Can't use all gear on streets. I will not getting 1000cc unless I'm using it on track
Awesome! I definitely can also see the appeal of bigger displacement bikes but on the streets. Definitely a lot of power.
I am surprised you don't more subscribers. Great Video
I really appreciate that thank you! Growing takes time, but kind comments like yours make the journey so rewarding. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
New to you channel. From sta rosa laguna👍👍
Welcome to the channel! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice review! Love how the bike sounds too, what's the model on the tailpipe btw? And where was it bought? Thanks in advance!
@acquaintfate8579 Thank you! For the pipe, it came with the bike from the previous owner.
Hi Leyzio, thanks for another great review. I am considering moving up to a bigger bike and after this review i will look further into the CB650r as its definitely a great all round motorcycle with plenty of power. I appreciate that in your reviews you take the time to run though the bike features and specs before riding it. I find this very useful and informative. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more of your bike reviews as you grow your channel.
@@Takanashi1970 Thank you so much for your feedback!
that low beam projection seems a little bit high..maybe need to tilt down a bit?
@amirzakwan4739 Yeah, it does look a little bit high. I am not sure if the owner tinkered with the headlight angle or maybe the rear suspension is at its lowest setting? 🤔
As a budget bike this is pretty amazing. One thing that most have not mentioned is the exhaust which protrudes way too far. It could easily have been tucked away. It’s very exposed for a bike with real off-road capabilities. Then again, Yamaha, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, BMW et al do the same. A cynic might think it’s a way of making money on replacement parts.
I thought I was the only one! 😂 The exhaust definitely could have been higher up.
@ It’s an obvious flaw
Thanks for the detailed review. I appreciate the time and effort you put into making this video. I also own a 2016 Ninja 300 and love it. It's great for solo and pillion riding and has all the power and agility I need to keep my heart rate up. After riding 600cc plus bikes for years, i wanted something that was fun and quick but not so dangerous. I am 54 year old family man, and I don't have the reaction times and strength to ride big bikes, and the Ninja 300 fits my needs perfectly.
That's awesome! Ride safe always! 😉
btw why are you calling it tiny bike??is not tiny at all
The bike physically is not small but the engine is in that entry level "small" kind of bracket. Power and Torque are very beginner friendly.
annoying music
@nana-w4h Yeah, it is kinda annoying 🤔 You got any suggestions?
Can we just hear @nana-w4h complain the whole time
stock headlights? illumination looks really good or is it just becuase of the video?
@markmbarrios Yup! I was running the stock headlights, not even the auxiliary lights and illumination was really good! Glad the video captured it perfectly! 😆
@@Leyzio impressive stock exhaust sound too! I'm more and more tempted to get this cfmoto over a Honda NX500. Thank you for the nice video bro
@markmbarrios I honestly want one for myself, too! 😄
Taas ng headlight. Be considerate.
@InduIgence Stock low beam height. I know it looks like its on high beam but it's not bright from oncoming traffic.
Uyy nuvali to ah hahaha
@@irithyl7413 😆
Tropa jan ako araw araw na byahe hehe, more videos kuys!
Ride safe! 😉
man, that low beam is awesome
That was the high beam you were using?
Nope, it was all on the low beam. Even the additional lights were off.
What motorcycle mdl switch are you using? Thanks!
I'm not sure exactly what kind of switch but you can ask MoonStrider Garage directly! 😉
Thank you so much. Pls upload more of such videos.
How low can you make the sear? Looking for 780 mm?
I'm not sure how low you can exactly make the seat but based on my previous experience and conversations with other bikes and riders, you can buy custom linkages that lower the bike past the manufacturers spec. Not sure how big of a perfomance hit it gives for a bike this size and type but its definitely something you can look into if you're a shorter rider! Cheers! and Ride safe!😎
Nice video mate!!
another new video lets go!
Could you please do some pov ride videos, thatd be awesome!
I got a few coming up! Some with commentaries and some with just the raw sound of the bike! 😁
@Leyzio glad to hear that. Waiting for them ♥️
YOU GET THUMBS DOWN FOR SHIT MUSIC !
A lot of facts and specs wrong. Check them..
Can you kindly point them facts good sir?
Thanks for your feedback! I put a lot of time into researching and cross-checking the facts while writing the script for this review, but if you noticed something specific that seems off, I’d love to hear about it. It's always possible I missed something, and I'm open to improving wherever needed. 😎🔥
Solid boss💪💪💪
Great video ... everyone is adding a 15 tooth cog at the front, which give you better top end and still gives you loads of torque ... the strange sound will be the wind coming off the phone move it a little bit towards the centre or out slightly, had the same problem lol
@chrislecouteur2360 Thank you! I thought it was my helmet being a sporty helmet, but yeah, when I removed my phone from the mount, the whistle noise disappeared 🤣
I disagree with your comment on limited tire selection. This motorcycle and the rims are designed to allow the rider to customize it to a more tarmac oriented motorcycle or a more dirt oriented motorcycle. Tire selection for mostly tarmac has good options for Tubeless. If you are planning to ride 50/50 or more dirt, there are many tube tire choices. Tubeless tires aren't desirable off-road for the sheer fact that if you lose a bead seal on a tire, a hand pump and small 12v pump won't be able to reseat the bead. It will require a tube anyway. Going off-road, riders will often drop tire pressure low. This improves traction but risks sidewall damage. This again requires one to have an inner tube. This rim allows for the best of both worlds
Thank you for your insight! I don't ride offroad much but I do know that lower PSI and tubed tires are a go to for offroad oriented bikes. I have seen a lot of reviews for this bike having the issue of it being tubeless but I guess it works out for it since it's primary focus was always to be a mini adventure style motorcycle with a little bit of offroading capabilities and not a true offroad machine like a dual sport. As for the tire selection, I was basing it off where I live(I should have specified that mb) and getting tire sizes here for a 21F-18R are a bit limited as everyone rides a scooter or 17s for bigger bikes.
Where do you live bro? That place is beautiful
Somewhere on God's green earth 😂
@ hahaha no bro for real I would like to come here some day where is it
@@abedak299 It's the 🇵🇭
J Juan is actually Brembo. They just rebranded it to sell it cheaper but it comes from the same factory
That's actually really cool to know! I thought they were completely different. Probably why they feel really good in terms of braking and feedback.
Cool
A cup holder ? What is this non-sense 😂
It's for those drive through moments, gotta store your extre large diet coke somewhere 😂
Great to hold coffee thermos, for those moments on top of the cold mountain.... Can't put coffee on your hydration backpack 😂🤣
I had tried Versys's, V-Strom's 650 & 1000 and a lot other motorcycles, now riding a Burgman 400 maxi scooter. if i had to buy a motorcycle again this one would be on the top of my list considering the price
I have a maxiscoot planned coming up! It's very similar to the Burgman and it will be my first time riding a maxiscoot too
@@Leyzio They are very comfortable and versatile with the usually huge built-in storage, i'm sure you will like the ride
@@MathieuTechMoto I will definitely check this out! Thank you so much!
what we've been waiting for! unbiased and on point! LEZGOOOOO!!!
Hoping for more videos this new year! Cheers!
Hey Leyzio, another great review! Now you got me thinking of buying something smaller and more nimble to get through traffic, because these smaller bikes are really getting it together and look the business! Lovin' your stuff man, just getting into it, so waiting on your next review. 'Keep on truckin' ❤🔥
Thank you so much for the comment! I personally really think CFMoto's done a fantastic job with the small bike market and I honestly think they are setting a new standard for pricing, performance, and quality of these bikes. Definitely going to keep on truckin!
Hi Leyzio, i really enjoyed this review. I never really considered this kind of bike, but you have given me food for thought. I agree that CFMOTO is starting to make some very interesting bikes lately. I'm looking forward to seeing your secret bike review 😂. Keep up the good work!
It's honestly a hands down fantastic bike for the price point. Feature rich, comfort, power delivery. All of it feels premium for the price you're paying. Secret bike is defnitely going to be a special one 😉
@Leyzio thanks Mate, keep up the good work. Can't wait for this secret bike reveal 🙏
Owner of the bike here woo hoo 😂
Man you were so happy the entire time. Unfortunately its almost impossible to find such empty roads where im from so this video is my little escape for now 😊
Your enthusiasm is addictive 😊.Super nice night ride. Bike sounds awesome and the eclutch looks like a interesting piece of kit.
Man i am really liking your videos with the 300 can you maybe do more motovlogs while talking I could listen to it all day
Thank you so much! I will try to make more content on this bike and a few other ones! Stay tuned 😉
I loved the engine sound and the short adhd attack :d and i like the mood of the streets too is that Philippines? its very chill and empty
Glad you love the sound of this exhaust! It's a full system Akra so its got a lot of pops and gurbles!
This night ride is a great watch, I now feel really chilled, thank you! 😊
Thank you for watching!
Super nice ride!
It was very chill!
Mine is an 2018 version ran about 41k kms it's an wonderfull machine using for daily comutes, long rides, and ripping in the Sundays. Never let me down.got an devil evolution exhaust k&n airfilter also with powertronics ecu.
@naveenprmathers3513 awesome to hear that! I think for must have mods, exhaust and airfilter are the best then maybe a quick shifter? 😆
@@LeyzioYup planing to add one too! Just 80 dollars.
Nice review, I'm glad that you called it a 'starter bike', because that's what it is. It's small, light & very nimble, so really good fun whilst great a great starter for the inexperienced. I'm interested in the next project that you mention. Is it another review?
It's going to be good!
@@Leyzio Oooo, you got me wondering now 😄
@@keithswan Stay tuned! 😉
I have been using the 2015 version. Bought it used in 2024 and I'm loving it
It's an awesome little machine with a very rev happy engine!
It's only good if you absolutely can't ride. It's painfully slow. Like unusable on interstate.
That's good to hear! From my own experience, I enjoyed the power delivery of the bike. Got up to a good speed enough for the interstate. This bike's top speed on paper is 190kph and I can confidently say you can reach that. 😉
Seen delievery scooters on the interstate before 😆Ninja 300 is a porsche equivalent in india but in America its "unusable". At that point I think it depends more on how you feel than anything else. (Still faster than most cars)
Have you ever rode a ninja 300 on the "interstate" ? I think not!
@@novacounciloutsdrs4770 😭 they can at least do the speed limit I just don’t know about overtaking
What place is this?
Just an old abandoned parking lot in my city
@@Leyzio this is from the states right? Asking because I was thinking about buying this bike in India
@gamingonly4104 This is the asian version of the bike which has no ABS, the US variant has ABS. If you are planning on getting this bike, you wont regret it. I have so much fun on it and everytime I get up to speed it puts a smile on my face.
