At my age hope seems almost irrelevant but as she says it is a thing never asked a crumb from me and somehow the universe has tocked all living things with it : it is related to the will to Live obviously . Thanks for also talking about your music. why don't more composers in our difficult isms and beyond period do this more-I guess because words dont explain music but they can explain what one is aiming to do in their music . Glad I discovered your work . AaronCopland , William Bolcolm and Jacob Druckman! and many others like Steven Stucky have set her music !

    • @harrisonjcollins
      @harrisonjcollins 6 лет назад

      Noah Camuso Thank you so much for your kind words! My advice is to study, study, study. Find music you like and listen to it over and over. Read the score (you might be surprised how many can easily be found online). Analyze it, and see how composers make things sound the way they do. Expand your compositional toolbox, and then use those tools to write the best music you can. Once you’ve done that, repeat the process!
