What do you use to cover (finishing) the exposed "lines" of AAC walls? Can regular house paint be applied to it directly?

Why aren't they using proper lintels for the window or door?

Does Stärken provide engineering calculations for earthquakes up to 8.0 Magnitude? I only see a zinc alloy bracket every 60 cm (?) on the sides to tie the wall to the post. I do not see any horizontal or vertical reinforcement of any kind. In seismic zones in Italy, AAC walls like these would have continuous horizontal reinforcement every 3 or 4 layers and would be more heavily secured on the sides and on the top. Even though the AAC walls are lighter than CHB, a 3 meter segment of a 20 cm thick wall using DuraPro5 would still have a weight of at least 1500 kg including thin layers of skim coat. In an earthquake those kind of walls could easily be cracked and toppled if they are torn from the zinc alloy brackets. The compressive strength of your AAC blocks and your monolithic thin bed adhesive is not really relevant in this context as it does not replace horizontal or vertical reinforcements. DuraPro5 has a compressive strength of about 800 psi. I have tested our non-load bearing machine made CHB which had a compressive strength of more than 800 psi.

Hello po, i try to buy Stärken blocks for my new home build in Tacloban, no one seller in there.. i contact Stärken directly..no real help " want talk with my Architect" !!!! crazy way to sell your product.. i know ACC from 1960 Germany. so i surprise to find this product in the Philipines. but i realize that only Cebu and Metro Manila can sell.. for a customer who wants to build a house with ACC Block, he gets tired of looking to try buy the product. one day i wish to buy ACC in City Hardware Store...

We’ve received blocks that are fully saturated. Left outside for months before shipping. Water will, eventually, displace the air, with water. This is why it can take weeks to dry AAC. Random water is one thing but if you want mold to start, expose to random amounts of rain on a north facing wall. ALWAYS WATER PROOF AFTER THR BLOCKS ARE FULLY DRY.

Are they load bearing or do you still need concrete columns and beams?

where? don't just say it, show the tests and the data. and where are the long term tests of durability and degradation? where are the oldest installations? surely the company has done extensive tests of their own of these walls of blocks glued together without internal through interlocks.

where are the seismic test videos, and impact tests for a wall made of these blocks glued together with no internal through interlocks? these other guys hit this wall with a light 100kg swing from 1~2 meters away and the wall fractured. can a large football player run right through your wall? or someone with a sledge hammer can bust right in? where are the long term durability and chemical/composition degradatation test data? where are the msds and chemical ingredients listed?

Kayo nah bahala mag decide saan kau. Basta malayo masyado price ng aac. Compute nyo sa isang 100 Sq mtrs nah house 1 storey lang perimeter wall lang 100×3x4×1389=1,666,800 pesos 100x3x4x670=804,000 pesos. Imagine mo Yan ang difference. Ndi pah Kasali ang mga partition walls Pano ka makakatipid?
