Sorry, I'm studying for a college exam.... This dancer (who is gorgeous btw) probably needs a lot of short term energy, so she probably ate plenty of proteins before going on stage. Proteins are one of the 4 major macromolecule groups (alongside lipids, carbs, nucleic acids). She also needs A LOT of ATP energy to do the amazing tricks she can do. Humans, get their ATP energy with the help of our mitochondria (an organelle in our cells, aka the "powerhouse"). So, to create the ATP energy her mitochondria takes oxygen and sugar (so it's very important that she eats) aka glucose. The mitochondria uses these reactants to create the products: carbon dioxide, water, and ATP energy. Now, she has the energy she needs to dance! As she dances, her organ systems are at work. Her circulatory system is pumping blood through her body (specifically, her heart is doing all the pumping). Arteries carry blood AWAY from the heart but veins carry blood TO the heart. Capillaries are just tiny vessels. Her blood is carrying oxygen and the nutrients she ate through her body. What else carries oxygen and gets rid of CO2 you may ask? Well, the respiratory system does. This is very important because in order to jump as high as she did, she needs to breathe. When she inhales, oxygen enters and when she exhales, CO2 leaves the body. Her skeletal system is also VERY important. Her skeletal system keeps her upright and helps with her mobility. It also produces red blood cells in bone marrow and protects her vital organs (like the heart and lungs). Her muscles also help her move! Her muscular system has three different types of muscle tissue: smooth muscles, cardiac muscles, skeletal muscles. Her excretory system (as in, blood will be filtered and that waste will come our as pee) will eventually be at work, but not during this dance lol. However, waste is also excreted through sweat. Her endocrine system is keeping her growing so she remans strong. How could I forget her nervous system!? That's how she memorized this INCREDIBALY BEAUTIFUL choreo! Her nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord. The cells involved are neurons. Remember how I mentioned sweat? That also takes part in her integumentary system. This is responsible for controlling temperature and water loss. Her skin (the largest organ) is a part of it. Yup, that's all I can say without getting weird. I LOVE THIS DANCE BTW!
