Continuing my lecture on kinematics, for Mt SAC's Physics 2AG. The picture shows me dropping a coffee filter. It has a very unusual way of falling - unlike most objects, it does NOT accelerate as it falls!

Ch04 toss ball for analysis (halverscience)
Просмотров 443 года назад
For my Mt SAC Physics 2AG students. A ball is tossed vertically. Confirm that the time to fall up equals the time to fall down. A ball is tossed across a street. Again, confirm the time to go up equals the time to go down. A frisbee is tossed across the street. Since it is supported by air, its path is very different from the ball's. This video was recorded at 30 frames per second. You can adva...

So this theorically can be modified to run at 2 MSPS-12B ?

I was just thinking about this concept the other day, when thinking about different theories. Specifically mass converted to energy, and energy to mass. This really helped with conceptionalization of those thoughts.

hello ..do you have verilog code for EVAL-AD7942-PMDZ !

I don't have code specific to that board, but I think you could start with the code I put in my web page (follow the above link) and make a few adjustments and get it to work.

    What happened with these projects?

Hi, thank you for asking. I have to admit that I stopped working on the projects. But the fact that you asked got me thinking about resuming the projects. After my 4th fpga video I started thinking about the user interface for the instruments. How do you implement a knob for amplitude or frequency? Using a microprocessor for this sort of thing makes sense. To that end I got the Altera (now Intel) NIOS microprocessor working on a Cyclone fpga. But that turned out to be a huge hassle and even worse, Intel wants something like $5000 for a license. Without the license, the CPU freezes after 90 minutes. I wish they had mentioned this at the outset, rather than wasting my time. At this point, I'm thinking the easiest way forward would be an Arduino chip to handle the user interface. Maybe the psoc 4 and five previously mentioned might be a good way to go? If you have a particular interest, please let me know.

Thanks for the comment. I just searched and found it here: store.digilentinc.com/analog-discovery-2-100msps-usb-oscilloscope-logic-analyzer-and-variable-power-supply/ It does look a useful tool for doing what many stand-alone devices do. I would be interested to hear from those who have used it.
