I don’t think she is a Talking Barbie but a Living Barbie head. They have larger neck holes. If you need a body, she will fit perfectly on modern Barbie bodies.

Because the hair was made out of different plastic. And the solution was drying. We would tend to over soak and top is the easiest to get. So it takes the most abuse

I like what you did with the hairline but I suspect she won't be able to wear her wigs now without having the painted hair show. I see this as more of an "inspired by" recreation than an actual restoration but the doll is yours so you have the right to do what you want with it.

i love the new face up for the fashion queen barbie. it reminds me of the vintage art deco meets pin up girl look. i also love how more cat like the eyes are as well as how fuller the lips are too, my most favorite is what you did to the hair line. it's more detailed then how it originally was and seems more organic

hello Sarah, thank you for this video. i am hoping to win an auction for a blonde and brunette swirl bang vintage barbie and one of their hair is very choppy so this method of hair removal looks more safer then the picking tool i use for newer doll reroots. i was curious if you had any recommendations on dealing with the oily face to yellowing skin issues and if you tried the dental tablet method and if it works?

Wow, lots of comments about people getting their chinchillas wet and they are fine with a bit of drying. Yet if I were to listen to all the armchair experts it's some kind of death sentence to get a few drops of water on them, what do they base this on? other than hearsay and a few pet care websites with very basic information. How do they deal with water in the wild? All I can find is information that just speculates based on the low rainfall of the areas, so all it takes is some unseasonal rainfall which is guaranteed to have happened and it has wiped them all out? I can find very little fact about this, just opinion.

My 93 reproduction has such different eyebrows. Mine are way more arched. She’s also brunette. Wonder if I got lucky somehow or if the brunette version has a closer screening

Years ago, I don't know which year , Mattel actually manufactured a few Barbie doll that had nipples. They we scandalous and they recalled them. There are a few dolls remaining that got into the market. You may have some of those. It's worth investigating it.

The key with the old stretched out hair holes is put the head into almost boiling water and the holes will shrink. Then cost the entire inside of the head with loctite for vinyl fabric and plastic and fill the holes on the outside with the same, using a toothpick.

Gonzo odor eliminating rocks... Put one sack of them into a plastic bag with the doll and leave it for a few months. Be patient.

With split I put head in boiling water to close it as much as it will, then use flexible loctite super glue then put loctite for vinyl fabric and plastic on inside and outside to reinforce.
