I love the way budgies talk to their mirrors. When I was small, I had a budgie whose favorite words were "Howdy!" and "darlin'". He also made "Bronx cheer" sounds. He always had me in stitches! 🥰

He reminds me of my budgie named "Budgie." He could talk like that, he even coughed like me and laughted like me❤. I only had him for a year and he got out when my grandkids were visiting. I was heart broken. I never imagined that he'd dash out like that in the flash of a split second 😢.

Well I have had parakeets over the years…and then adopted an Indian Ringneck Parakeet. I was not told that he talked. After having had him for a few years he surprised us when he started saying “Hello” and wolf whistled! Well our little parakeet learned how to say hello too. Quite clearly too. And also learned the wolf whistle. That sure was fun. Years later I adopted Loki (IRN) and she speaks. A lot. An added cool thing.😀🦜
