The BIGGEST advantage for an Entrepreneur to have a pension is that CREDITORS cannot claim on an individuals pension fund. Put simply if you byisness goes under people you owe money cannot claim on your retirement annuity. Then the other advantages are pretty much the same as an employed person. Tax etc

However, I took care to start an extra pension fund (Annuity Retirement Fund) 25 years ago in addition to my statutory pension fund. I advise young professionals to follow my example.

Mr Letjane, one of the most black successful pension fund administrator in our country. We need such leaders to give hope to the black child. This 350K pension fund contribution disproportionately favour's the wealthy I'm our society. Very few people can pay 20K out of there salary to a pension fund. Realistically even a 200K limit makes alot more sense.

JJ pleaee get better people to address some these issue. If your employer requires you to have a pension fund you cannot opt out of it. Usually permanent positions come with a prescribed pension while contract employees do not. Put simply, individuals largely do not have the options on whether they participate or not.
