This remastered footage looks amazing. If only the framerate was at 50. This is probably my favorite fight of the original series. You can compare this to Sawblaze vs HUGE. Both had more twists and turns than an Agatha Christie story

best part of this episode are the girls :3 i really like those gemini girls and Nati, i have some odd "obsession" with British girls, their accent is so cute and genearlly how they talk and act. gemini itself is a cool robot aswell

what i like MOST about those old robot battles, is that people had common sense, tried their best to be in control of the bot and were proud of their own good driving, most of them were good drivers, but nowdays it's vice versa ... 90% of people are just bashing buttons and spinning around and giggling over their own incompetence ... how can you be proud of your own incompetence? just look at precision of most of those drivers, specially hypnodisk, chaos2, razer, tornado, panic attack ..etc ..etc. it's so much more fun to watching battles where both can drive well.

Razer was and always will be the best looking and working design ever. chaos 2, hypnodisk and carbide were amazing aswell, but Razer is just class on its own, i think it's the only crusher bot in world that has won a championship.

wish i had money to build combat robots, i have so many ideas that have never been seen before. 1) add brakes on spinning weapons, so it won't tear itself apart (like tombstone does all the time) 2) add automatic gearbox on spinning weapons, so it has insane torque + speed. i've seen so many spinners get jammed up either in other bots, walls or due bent armor, this would just bruteforce it and keeps it working. 3) don't use chains or belts, use hub motors (that's been done on smaller bots) 4) on flippers and axe bots, use A.I. controlled weapon. it would measure the distance using laser and if there's nothing to hit, it wouldn't hit at all. you have a button that you hold down and during that the weapon is active, so if something enters in the "danger zone", then it will auto fire the weapon. i see so many of them missing hits as they can't time it perfectly, A.I. would eliminate this. wouldn't even have to be A.I., just some automatic system to check. if it won't be able to make the hit, it won't hit. like if object is moving too fast, it won't attempt to hit it or it pre-fires and hits dead-on. 5) instead of using rubberbands or other nonense to pull the flipper back, use springed hinges, this way as long as the flipper is attached to the bot, it will go back to original position, i've seen lot of flippers break and remain open. 6) some bots probably have it, but make upside down controls. if your bot gets flipped and it can drive upside down, then add a switch that you can flip and it flips the controls on your controller aswell, so you won't have to drive with backwards controls. 7) on bots like carbide, use hub motor and make the entire weapon mount flexible, like car engine is mounted on heavy rubber bads, this way it wouldn't take the impact itself and there's less chance that bots goes flying after hitting opponent. it could still probably use a chain, just needs some heavy duty chain tensioner that prevents the chain from coming loose after impacts when the mount is moving.

I like the Las Vegas version better. They treat it more seriously, and they don't have those stupid house robots interfering with the match.

What really surprises me about this, looking back, is that the roboteers and Jeremy were not protected by a perspex shield during the first two events. Seems well dodgy, they're just casually hanging around nearby on the stairs whilst sharp lumps of torn metal are being sent flying around the place.

In many ways, I can actually root for Behemoth with its results and performances, and I guess others could feel the same as well.
