Boston-based soprano, Madison Mackey, is known for her distinctive, vibrant high range, easy coloratura, and ability to drop into character with intensity. She recently made her operatic debut as Frantik in Boston University’s 2019 production of The Cunning Little Vixen in partnership with Glimmerglass Festival, directed by William Lumpkin and E. Loren Meeker. She performed in the chorus for BUOI’s production of La Traviata in 2018, and has sung in a wide array of opera scenes with the Boston University Opera Workshop and Opera Project from 2016-2019. Her opera scene work ranges from Mozart to Offenbach to Humperdinck. Madison is also passionate about art song and has a vast repertoire ranging from Wolf to Strauss and Poldowski. She is a senior at Boston University studying Vocal Performance. Before her studies at BU, Madison was a student of the Houston Grand Opera High School Voice Studio.
