      I love these types of questions! Plushies are definitely squishy, which seems to go against it being a solid. That's because the solid material that makes up the plushie is largely filled with empty pockets, which are filled with gas. When you squish it, you are compressing these gas-filled pockets and the gas can either compress or escape, making it smaller. Thanks for the great questions : )
