I've always thought it was a very good car and very fun to drive, but now that I know Jeremy Clarkson also thinks that, I'm a very proud Ford Focus owner. And this is also useful for me to show it to some people I know that think the Focus is neither good or fun.

I bought a Holden Vectra in 97 when they first came to Australia. CDI model, fantastic! Then went to live in the UK, got the same thing by Vauxhall. Awful ! Afterwards I found that Holden had changed everything, suspension, gearbox, motor for Australia... Explains why! Sorry UK. We do everything better in Australia !! 🤣

does anyone now if the carburator have a lot worse fuel consumption than the injection version? because i want to buy one but i find only with carburator.

Some repairs on this are pretty easy, it’s just that parts are hard to find. Some are insane. The clear coat on my wood trim got so cloudy it was an opaque pinkish color. The panels don’t just pry off with clips, they are all bolted in from the back. Take the door cards off, take the dash off…it’s nuts. I still love it for some reason.

My W202 has it's fair share of faults... Yet it somehow manages to make me enjoy every second my hands are on the wheel

This is my first car and my last

My older kid drives an Ebony Pearl Effect D2 A8L, 18" x8.5" wheels, progressive-rate springs (28 MM drop) & Bilstein struts, with tinted glass & the factory rear muffler replaced with a Magnaflow version with brushed stainless tips...younger one calls it the "Slav Mafia Murder Machine." The kids have known this car since birth, came from my aunt & uncle's estate. Such a neat car, police even pull it over to check it out

Bought a brand new one of these 2004 absolutely loved it traded it in for a new 1.0 focus 2013 loved it as well then another in 2016 then in 2019 got a Puma 155bhp loved at well and last year A Puma 1.5 ST with limited slip differential it’s a fabulous car . I have been a Ford customer since 1986 and owned two escort Cosworths absolutely loved them altho lol you hit thru two sets of tyres a year I can forgive it that lol . But now I’m dismayed at the direction Ford are going in no fiesta and focus discontinued next year dropping the 1.5 puma for a 1.0 puma ST Also closing my local Ford dealer of 87 years representing the brand I’m not sure after all these years of being a Ford customer I’ll ever purchase another one and I’m saying that with a heavy heart.

Remember buy a "modern battery car that looks like every other car" and get fked on resale, with computers that break down and don't make any sense and cause accidents. Or buy a proper car.

They are good, I want an XKR, but I just don't want to scrap my silly old Focus, that would be such a waste.

This car has great styling, not something Clarkson would know about. They are becoming quite collectable.

Honda VTEC engines were the best ever real life F1 experience, whether Civic / CRX / S2000 / NSX / Integra, but very sadly no more in existence. Tragic!

i drive a ‘96 w202 2.2l sport with a manual and its an amazingly built car. truly a hidden german car gem. and they came in a lot of fun paint jobs and interior options so there are a lot of styles to choose from.

Too slow bad handling compared to integras, civics, celiacs etc

My second car was a 2003 focus and I kept it for 15 years. Absolute brilliant car!
