No-Leash Follies
Waves were small, no one else around, so I went leashless. I've cropped the video to avoid revealing this secret spot.

Tesla Camera View Water Drops
Просмотров 374 месяца назад
This shows what the forward facing camera on a Tesla Model 3 sees when drops of water are on the windshield. It demonstrates how the car decides whether to turn on the windshield wipers. I sprayed the windshield with Optimum No Rinse.
Whitewater Falling

I often fall this way when surfing. That is, I ride into the whitewater, and the whitewater pushes the board out from under me. Should I be kicking out sooner? Can I kick out in the whitewater?

How I Think I Paddle (Surfing Longboard Technique)
😂
have the same problem
Having the same problem Ugg!!!
what do you do with this ?
Tesla sent mobile service and they replaced it.
How much did u pay ?
@@maeaurelio9773 It was still under warranty, so it was free. There are some DIY videos on RUclips.
Although a Google told me to send in the tablet for a replacement, this problem went away when a new version of the OS came out.
i enjoy troubleshooting my vehicle every 2 weeks so that way i can make it work to work.. NOT
Right. Thanks for reminding me how lucky I am. I can't reveal the location--other surfers get mad that I even record there.
Where do you find a nice little wave like that without a crowd?
No crowd there to hassle with! Excellent!👌👍

Well said !
Scheduled Charging starts charging immediately if Model 3 is plugged in up to six hours after the scheduled start time. However, if Model 3 is plugged in after six hours of the scheduled charging time, charging may not start until the scheduled time on the next day. Source: manual
Wonderful!
Great instincts!
Omg this interface sometimes. Same goes for recording a dashcam clip and stopping
Im coming up on 2 years of ownership ill probably never use these features
Sorry but that park assist is rubbish -> The front camera can't see what is right in front of the car... Small obstacles will hit your car ...
I am afraid we should not expect too much anymore from further improvements. All the tests done here and in other videos on RUclips have no doubt already been done by Tesla engineers themselves as well. Yet they were not able to come up with a reliable replacement of USS.
it sucks right? apparently it stops 12 inched blind spot. It is scared to take 12 inches lol
Thanks for the great video. The backview camera is not used with the occupancy network or at all with AI. It has to see the cones with the repeater cameras. They will probably improve the functionality over time as usual.
Why do you think that? I don't believe that's true
You shouldn't have to work that hard to convince yourself that it's good. I think it sucks 😕
I don’t see how they’re going to improve it, personally. Nor do I think the over complicated and frankly ludicrous occupancy network which Tesla fans seem to attach blind faith to, will end up working particularly well. These are essentially just work arounds, computationally and power expensive and only necessary because of a really short-sighted ideological decision to remove short range 3D sensors
@@derdudederamblockchillt9994 the camera is attached analog to the pcb, the others have a digital interface. I have read that somewhere, some time ago.
Mine beeps like the USS version. Make sure you don't have Joe mode active.
Good point! Mine does beep, but not for things on the side, apparently.
this park assist is just a joke . They promised a tesla vision as performant as USS but nope . As European commuter this is not ok at all in Big Cities like Paris.
It will improve over time, dont worry
better than having nothing, Tesla will improve for sure over time.
Tesla keeps getting a pass from loyal owners as always. When are we ever going to hold Tesla accountable?
Over time? Why would you justify a bad quality product and not hold Tesla accountable for a lower standard product. Expect better and you will get better!
Based on recent history it got worse over time, not better, people need to be genuine about the situation. Nothing builds confidence than the corporate tagline :“It’s better than nothing”…
Why do you have the red bar across the screen? What are you hiding on your test? Before that, he also recognized the cone.
i believe his adress
So, Elon removed the sensors 6 months ago, to give us this? A better plan would have been to not remove the sensors until you have a working replacement?
Try dealing with supply chain logistics in a pandemic. They had cars to deliver and found a software solution to missing sensors. Just a bunch of whiny brats; I see why tesla owners get a bad name.
6 months ago, was not the height of the pandemic disruption, and other manufacturers deliver many more cars than Tesla with sensors, so why do you think there was a supply issue rather than a cost issue?
No supply chain logistics, just premature cost cutting. No whiny brats, just customers who have cars that do not perform as promised and in fact may be dangerous under certain circumstances. There is only one thing worse than a missing safety feature and that is one that is there but does not work properly. FFS Tesla, just make it an option, people would have paid the $114 you saved by removing them.
Thanks for the demonstration. Ive came to the conclusion that we’ve all been duped. Anyone who’s bought a 23 tesla with no uss.
Duped with a $7500 tax deduction
A $7500 uss deduction. Ha
I’m surprised it took you this long to work that out, Tesla habitually over promise and under deliver. What I am surprised about is that the class action lawsuits are not flying already in America over this. If I had purchased a vehicle made demonstrably worse by silently removing important features in an OTA update from the manufacturer after I bought it, I would be taking action.
Did you have sounds with USS on the side? No, you didn't.
Ah, true! That's the perfect explanation for what I'm seeing. Hopefully, they can add those sounds soon.
I have tones like crazy for the side (with USS). I would love to be able to go through certain drive-thrus without all of the beeping. I wish the beeping was basically only if you were at risk of hitting the object if you kept doing what you are doing.
This is not good, this is absolutely horrible.
how so?
@@davidholst11 The warning is so inconsistent is not enough information for you?
@@davidholst11 multiple reasons, the cameras can’t tell shadows, that’s why the lines are so crooked and jagged. You get no warnings of items directly in front of the car up to a 12” distance. So parking close to a wall is out of the question, same for rear of car. No consistent audible sounds warning u of objects. Doesn’t work in the dark, USS does, etc. Just too many shortcomings.
@@idonotcarenow any software like this relies on good real time sensor data, and the sensors are crap in this case. Low res single cameras cannot properly perceive depth in real time without some ai tricks to glean depth information using parallax. Shadows, blind spots, night time, grubby lens will stop it working. I’m amazed it works as well as it does, all things considered. Time to be brave and admit they need to put USS back in and then undertake to retrofit all vehicles produced without it.
@@robinisathakur it’s a terrible look to walk it back and they’ll never do it, we’ll just suffer without and take it like good boys.
Thanks you
too bad he basically scammed everyone. Probably just didn't have sensors in stock. Cause why remove something that works with nothing for years and then release something that doesn't work nearly as well? He is conning himself now.. ha
you are writing nonsense, removing parts is always the best engineering solution. less parts is better in infinite ways. every ai feature is terrible at the beginning but capable to become godlike. so, this is the very worst version and it will only improve from here.
@@JohnSmith-pn2vl okay sure... I have ultrasonic and it works great down to 1 inch... So say what you like. You're way wrong.
@@JohnSmith-pn2vlyou can’t say removing parts is the best engineering solution.. not at all. removing parts after a deep analysis that the part is not needed is indeed a good move in terms of production. In this case they should’ve done this after years of testing. They clearly removed it due to supply chain issues..
@@JohnSmith-pn2vl so you are clearly not an engineer
Thanks for this!
Thanks for the demonstration
