Thanks for the video, much appreciated. By the way, can I assume priority boarding for tenders also extend to going back to the ship? Meaning, you can skip the normal line at the pier and be boarded on the next available tender boat back to the ship.

I commented on your last video - I didn't see the cabin upgrade mentioned for a Club Orange benefit. I think the biggest perk for us is that we had booked the least expensive balcony and with Club Orange we went to one of the nicest balcony rooms! That upgrade alone made the cost of Club Orange worth it.

yes I briefly mentioned it near the beginning, but you're right, Club Orange members do have an upgrade to the best possible stateroom within the same category

The newer HAL ships offer a surprising amount of storage for the staterooms, thus maximizing every square foot of space! Even the bathroom feels roomy compared to other lines standard bathrooms. Enjoy your cruise!😊
Do you need to be balcony cabin guests or even just an inside cabin guests still allows to join club orange ?
Great question! We stayed in an inside stateroom for our trip but there's limited number of spots available so you have to book early to secure your Club Orange status!

I’ve thought about club orange, but I love the MDR. And I don’t like the ambience in Club Orange.
Loved the Koningsdsm. Had a Neptune Aft Suite in April 2024 and truly enjoyed the view. We liked her so much, we canceled another Alaska trip to sail on her to Hawaii in Jan 2025. Thanks for sharing.

Great video! Holland America definitely offers some of the best cuisine at sea! Their plating is fantastic as is their willingness to make the guest feel welcomed and appreciated! Are there other perks such as upgraded staterooms at booking or in room amenities not offered with Club Orange? Any private lounges or discounted/free drinks?
You're absolutely right about the plating, they have such a way of delivering fine dining! For upgraded stateroom they can upgrade you in the highest category of your tier(such as the multiple categories of interior cabins, if you booked a standard they can upgrade you within the tiers of the interior cabins) for free as part of the Club Orange package. For private lounges on this ship we saw there was a private lounge for the Neptune suites though not accessible for Club Orange. A private lounge we did experience is when they set up one of the meeting rooms as a private waiting area for the priority tendor access where you waited in comfort with many chairs available, no crowds, non-alcoholic beverages and small snacks like cookies until a staff member came to inform you that your priority access to a tender was available. If you have cruised with Holland America or any sister company such as Carnival before, you would have at minimum 1 star mariner status and can get 2 free beverage vouchers(any 2 alcoholic drinks up to $11) though I don't know if this is specific to Club Orange or rather the mariner status. Complimentary mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice were offered at breakfast either in the Club Orange dining room or at room service. Other than that no other discounted or free drinks specific to Club Orange.

The one bed room corner suite is very spacious! You can also see the Disneyland fireworks inside the bedroom!

Mac and Cheese, meatball sliders and sugar cookies are not "High quality" offerings in a deluxe club-level lounge. These are the sorts of offerings you might see in an airport food court. What on earth is going on and why are expectations so low when the upcharge is so high?

Do they keep it stocked up throughout the whole time it is open??? Breakfast and dinner looks pretty minimal the amount of club rooms and costs. Less well stocked than and airport lounge really.
We stayed there in August. GREAT place, and affordable. We will be back next year.

Do they care if you take some snacks (chips, soda) to go? Or do you have to eat it in the lounge?
Nope! The food is there for you to enjoy at your convenience, whether in the lounge, in the hotel room, or at the park directly :)

The rooms look very fresh. Can I just say it was very difficult to hear any of the dialogue because of the loud background music.
