This was really cool!! I love your guy’s conversations and Art!!
Awesome!!! Heheh
10k 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
10k gang!! 10k gang!!
You guys should have me on the show!
I want to interview Jhonen SO badly! I hear he WANTED Zim and Gaz to be allies and, a bit later on, lovers.
Not trying to hate but y’all should rewatch this whole thing and pay attention to how much you let Pen talk or riffed on his ideas. Y’all kinda just knocked down all his ideas and had your own conversations not really including him.

Midnight Confession: I once jumped down an Eleven Stair stairwell at the newly Fiensteined Providence Place Mall. And spit. Also I think I accidentally, unknowingly did a tiny bit of "coke plus" at the Bothell Extended Stay America. Also I listen to Courtney Love way too much.
Also spoiler alert, bad clams.
That old Shoe Box lady cards. My Mom had one framed cus She connected so strongly with it: "funny that the person telling you to calm down is always the person who's..." Whatever it said. The old grey fool from the greeting cards. Vibes and Reciprocity need to be better understood. Completely agree with that. 143 Momma! Aint nobody beating my high score. (God I want The Sea, cus Melkor hates it, cus he cant subdue It. Ulmo 4 Lyfe)
Fucking reciprocity is the worst of times.
I know people hate these comments, especially buried under seven priors involving Math, but truly, Finn and Jake saved my family. Love you dude.
I'm here because I found a Royal & Langnuckel drafting pencil in my Extended Stay America suite. Behind the comfy chair on the floor. (Funny how you can tell from a distance "that's a special pencil, that's no meth pencil!"). And it made me wonder what Pen's pens are? Royal is also the name of the company that holds my pig wheels to my filthy Romero "Pets" deck. I feel like Pen had Royals? Who don't love a good crown too? 🤮
Also this channel is fucking fabulous
And I hadn't even reached 3:45 roll yet! Omgggggggggggggg! Will these infernal riddles never cease!
This channel deserves so much more attention! So many amazing guests, comfortable atmosphere and great insight throughout. Perfect thing to put on while drawing, it's so reassuring to hear these geniuses from the industry discuss their creative process. Keep up the great work, Gene and Vee!
great episode!
I can’t wait for Mandelbrot Hall to come out. The art style gives me Molly McGee vibes.
Seeing Little Mole turn up at the most random places always makes my day
About that "little fish, big pond" scenario with your college, I actually felt that in highschool. I went to an art highschool called G-Star and to an already unsure, awkward, and scared kid having that experience of everyone be better than you so young suuuuuucked. I always continued persuing my goals but passively after the first two years and its not till recently at 21 that I've been actually moving towards what I want to do.
No, for real, though my favorite part was when they did their iconic studio flimpo flimp of all flimps. The secret technique to be the greatest studio of all time. 🦅🦅🦅
Awesome!!
Love the work y'all do here at creative block and the people you invite! Thank you for giving artists opportunities for learning from the pros.
Oh my god! A featuring with Studio Flimpo🍳
amazing, thank you
37:58 that's what made me pursue art in general in the first place. Here and there I'd want nothing to do with it as a career, but I couldn't go to sleep at night without gushing thinking of some new idea I want to put out there.
Loved this. I especially really liked hearing the story of someone that came into the animation game maybe a little later into life (getting into college at 23). I feel like a lot of stories of creators I hear about get into the game right away and that was always intimidating as a kid surrounded by people better and more sure of themselves than I. Knowing about those that didn't immediately get into animation is a comforting thing to hear.
YAYYY LOUIE PODCAST ! :DD
It's me!! Thank you Sean & Vee 🥰
I've found that the things that make me spend the most time reading a ocmic panel, are the amount of detail in the drawing and the size of the panel in the page (both are often connected), and also the amount of money I spent on it ("I can't finish this 30 dollar comic in just one sitting!")
"there's always someone who's been writing a comic for five years" hit home hard haha
Always happy to see a new episode. Love all the insights into the industry.
Been waiting for this one for a long while
what's the video for making character pitches?
