    Really nice tone here. I have a G&L with MDF and struggling to get a good jazz tone. Its too bright or too muffled. You have a great sound here... must be me! :)

      @@richguitarucci3193 thank you. I did modify guitar with fender locking tuners and medium jumbo stainless steel frets. I like the MFD pickups for jazz but yes with teles its sometimes tricky to get the right tone. I notice one tele that sounds too bright at home is perfect on club dates. So there are a lot of variables, because mfd more midrange than standard tele pickups I thought the SS frets frets which are a bit brighter would match up well. It’s a 2004 guitar model which was already good before upgrades but is now one of my better teles for jazx

      Thank you. I used quilter tc 10TC. Celestion TF1018 speaker, 100 watts, 8 ohms. Usually I use 101 Reverb quilter head with this speaker. For gigs I used DV mark 150 watt amp with the mach 3 head.

    Congratulations for your guitar playing ! The combination of the Quilter and the Swamp Thang speaker looks like it sounds really good! Do you recommend this speaker for jazz without the sound being too dark (like an Eminence Beta for example)? (Sorry for my bad english...)

      I like the sound of the swamp thing. I have a few quilters, this one I put together my own speaker cab and it matched up with the amp head very well. I don’t find it too dark. I also use 101 reverb with the quilter 10c blockdock which is great for jazz. The quilter solid states and a nice singing that I found before I only got off tube amps.

    This is the kind of guitar stuff I love the most. No fancy studio gimmicks or nonsense. Just on the spot guitar playing! Those Yosemite pups sound great. Clear, warm and precise. I put a set in my 2007 Highway 1 this week. Awesome.

      Thank you. I did change the Pickups’s later to MJS customs that were a bit more vintage spec. Guitar nice in that it has rosewood fingerboard and jumbo frets

      Thank you Zach. This one is the cheaper version but has same pickups as more expensive models. Classic 57 humbuckers. Really like the guitar very comfortable to play.

      Thanks. Good getting the coupe. Haven’t heard this in a while, it’s a blues progression. On this one i playing blues scale, chromatically, major scales with chromatic passing tones etc. for fluidity not picking every note, slides, hammer ons and pull offs.

      Thank you. This one is a 1998 G & L asat guitar, leo fender last company. Good jazz sound as the pickups were his last innovation mfd pickups, more Mids than tele single sort of p90 type tone.

      @@warrengreig5556 I have Seth Lovers in a LP and yes, they're as good as many and better than most. I also have a set of Antiquity humbuckers in a Tele. The Lovers sound like a new set of PAFs and the Antiquities sound like a 50 year old set of PAFs. Both are worth the money and less expensive than many others.
