As a Turk and an American living in Istanbul, Turkiye my opinion may be biased, but the source of our compassion for animals and all living things is our religion, Islam. We have been able to preserve this beautiful trait throughout our history. Unfortunately today, wars and painful events are happening all over the world. The cinema industry and media are trying to turn us, human beings, into merciless, hedonistic beings by making films and broadcasts that violate the sanctity of both human life and animals. This only serves the few, very rich and powerful people. I invite you and myself to investigate our religion, Islam (our monotheistic religion that accepts, loves and respects all prophets from Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad). We muslims love all humanity and creatures for the sake of the Creator and want everyone to be happy both in this world and the afterlife. With respect and love.

I live in Istanbul and I can definitely say that cats are our owners

they are all fed up and chunky we feed them and leave water in the corners ❤
