I just bought the same Armstrong hatch. Trying to figure out how to get it in without cutting the hole larger, as the arms prevent it from slipping in
Ok so I just did this yesterday. A video is coming out soon about it but the best tip I can give you is go to the dollar store and get a craft foam core board. Cut a piece bigger than the hatch and do a rough cut around the middle where the t bar is so it sits as flat as it can on the foam board. Then forcefully press the foam board into the hatch around the rubber gasket. The lip will make an indent in the foam board that you can use a razor blade to cut out. Test fit the foam board on the hatch until you have a good fit and then use the foam board as a cut template on the boat. Hop that helps!

Know a guy who filled his boat with water. Single axle trailer. He ended up bending the axle. His boat survived though.
That’s kind of the point. Not to bend the axle but repairing the axle is going to be way better than draining a boat back on a trailer and then the subsequent glass damage to the boat

Congratulations! Pursuit is a good boat and this was a great project. You made a lot of improvements. I really think your channel will at some point take off. HPDI's can be finicky with their filters and clean fuel, but the 200hp and down are really great outboards.

All @ stroke Direct Injected systems are way more complicated than regular four stroke EFI or 2 Stroke EFI. Good luck bro.
Bro good luck with the HPDI. Their oling system is terrible bro. either you drive this above 4500 rpm all the time or you are definitely gonna blow up the engine because of lack of oil. Good Luck man.vAlso if you can get a YDIS. this would greatly help to sort out the codes.

The Re-Deck is one of those products that makes you wonder why someone didn't invent something like this before. It is pricey but it can save a lot of time and give professional results. I am already committed to re-gelcoating my deck with a non-skid powder. But if I hadn't bought the materials already, I would definitely be considering this product.
I was blown away by how easy it was to get results that look that good. We need to do some other repairs on the gunnel so I’m interested to see how that other method of spot repair goes.
Drill the holes to the angle of the transom did you say lag bolts to fasten the bucket to the stringers ? 🤷♂️

when you measure across dimensions, or are just checking something for square use the same edge of the measuring tape, because flipping sides makes different measures and never use the first inch of the tape because the mechanical shuttle at the leader of the tape is unreliable
This is a good point. I hate how the shuttle can mess up a measurement. I’ve done it many times. What would you use instead to get an accurate measurement?
@@Overhulled just use a nominal measurement along the tape, say 100mm on metric or 6" on ft and inches. Just be careful to add and subtract as necessary, the key is consistency. Develop good habits early and stick to them
