Great video, I used to sail a cat rigged Mosquito named Midas 40 years ago at Carrum SC, many of the mozzie guys moved into Taipans when Greg Goodall and Jim Boyer first introduced the new Cat to the world. I remember fondly Lake Cootharaba (LC) very well, sailed @ mozzie titles @ LC heading for the finish line out on trapeze (well in front) and the centre board hit a cray pot wire trace, sliced a huge chunk out of the leading edge. Boat came to a dead stop, I spun around the mast and smashed my knee through the leeward hull - Yes remember the lake well every night when my knee gives me pain. Now 78 I still miss my sailing. I am puzzled the crew played the luff downhaul a lot on the beats, the square toped main must generate a lot of power to need to trim it all the time.
