Thank you. I'm not bad in MS Excel but I've been making DB's now for years, but I'm cultivating them into MS Excel and Google Sheets so having to refresh things... where GS has a nice filter option but my older MS Excel 2016 does not -- I've always used the =Index() in my DVL's for multiple lookups but this is much better... Also to note I'm using MS Excel 2016. I've seen other versions of this formula, where they didn't work with my version (different parenthesis bracketing) but this one does... so thank you :)

Hello, I followed your directions. And when I double click the batch file to open it it populates all of the personnel that I would need folders for, but then it says is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
I got the same problem before. I renamed it correctly from my.txt to my.bat but the problem was that it was actually named my.bat.txt ! Fixing that was key to this problem.

Sure, you are alreday on the way to solve your task. I have prepaired the answer to you too. Let's grow together by following this chanel. Sort the Data: Make sure your purchase and sales data are sorted by date, with the oldest transactions at the top. Calculate Cumulative Quantities: In a new column, calculate the cumulative purchase quantities using a formula like =SUMIF(A$2:A2, "<="&A2, B$2:B2) where A2 contains the date and B2 contains the purchase quantity. Drag this formula down for all rows. Calculate Remaining Quantities: Subtract the cumulative sales quantities from the cumulative purchase quantities to get the remaining quantities. Calculate Cost of Sales: In another column, multiply the sales quantities by their corresponding purchase costs. Calculate Closing Stock: In yet another column, use a formula to determine the closing stock quantities. It's the initial stock quantity plus purchases minus sales. Calculate Closing Cost: Multiply the closing stock quantities by their respective purchase costs to get the closing cost. Use a Pivot Table or Power Query: You can use a Pivot Table to summarize the closing quantities and costs. Alternatively, you can use Power Query to automate the process, especially if you have large datasets.
