I am a elementary special ed teacher in Washington State with limited to no budget for this kind of leaning. I want to develop a curriculum for 5th graders to start learning manual (like I did when schools taught this ) I can get a kid to draw but they need structure. Drafting could encourage students to see the practical, tactile side of math and art, to make them stronger in middle and high school, if they enroll in auto cad classes or construction, or 3D game building our district is investing in teaching. I have been watching You TUBE now for two months for inspiration ideas. I am begging you to share more of these basic drafting lessons. Thank you for what you produced.
Enjoying this! I'd like to see more manual drafting videos as I never learned drafting in highschool, but know how useful it is I'm a college senior right now

Hey Matt. Yes this shop is in a grade 8-12 school. I created this series for my students when they were sent home during the pandemic last year. It also works well for students who miss a class and need to catch up on information they missed. Just thought others might find the info useful so I made it public.

Great tutorial on how to use the sander! Especially the disk portion of the tool...I would have never even thought to use the right side only until it was probably to late and ended up messing up the board in some way!! Also, how do you like this particular model? I've been really thinking about buying this model and there aren't very many video's on it and absolutely zero reviews that I can find...any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!
The machine is decent. Probably 3/5 stars. The disc sander is fine but the belt side of the machine runs much slower than the Delta that we replaced. We've had the sander for a few years now and had to replace the switch twice. The shrouds are also plastic which kind of give it a cheaper feel. It is a well used machine but I wouldn't say our students abuse it by any means. Hope this helps.
